   Unfortunately, Toby did not drop its stinginess even at Christmas. We went there for a “Christmas dinner” with three children, and there was absolutely nothing on the table related to Christmas — not even the smallest decoration that would cost £1. When we asked about it, a staff member responded rudely and dismissively, saying that some areas were decorated. Apparently, if 3 tables out of 50 are decorated, that is considered Christmas for the whole venue. What benefit is someone else’s decorated table to us? There were no decorations outside either, no festive lights, no effort at all. The only place we felt Christmas was in the prices, which were almost double compared to normal. The area we were seated in looked dirty, worn-out and neglected, with a broken, shabby atmosphere. Overall, an ego-driven atmosphere with unfriendly staff and zero festive spirit. Very disappointing for a place advertising a Christmas dinner.

   Took my husband for his 60th birthday with family members for a group booking at the weekend on Saturday. Food was beautiful we had the festive menu stater and main course. Most the staff we found were friendly It was a relaxed atmosphere.

   Not been to a Toby Carvery in a few years, but certainly worth it, and will be going again. The one in Colwick is warm and welcoming with friendly staff. The prices for the roast dinner are very reasonable, but is slightly more expensive on a Saturday and Sunday. But for the quality of the meat, the Yorkshire pudding and trimmings and vegetables, it's definitely worth it. The chef gave us a good portion of meat, and it was cooked very nicely. The veg is great and several options. Along with tasty roast potatoes and creamy mash (and Mac & Cheese!?) - plus the gravy is lovely. Thanks to Erika our waitress, very friendly and professional.

   I took my parents for Sunday dinner. Their is so much to choose from, the Carvery, and you can also have three meats to choose from. I was struggling with my two elderly parents. The staff were so attentive that they helped me with everything. Always packed, very good value for Sunday dinner? Very pleasant experience with a friendly atmosphere

   Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Food was delicious. Service brilliant too. My daughter and I had the carvery. Haven't had lamb for a while. It was cooked to perfection, with hardly any fat. Keep up the brilliant work ! Toilets were not clean and at least 1 out of order

   Probably the best cooked Toby Carvery I've been to! Everything was fresh, the meat cooked perfectly, the veg were exactly as they should be and not over/under cooked or cold, the roast potatoes were not too oily; excellent meal. We went on a late Sunday afternoon, and it was packed - as you would expect on a Sunday. The only thing that spoilt our enjoyment slightly was the ear splitting screaming of other diners children, but that was in no way the fault of the establishment. We would definitely go back, as the food was very good, just maybe on a slightly quieter day

   Went for a carvery after work. Booked in advance which is recommended as popular and can get busy. This evening it was advanced bookings only. Was shown to a table by friendly server. Drinks order was taken and went up for the carvery. Really good food, very tasty and great value. Seating area where we were seated was a bit dark but it overall a pleasant meal. App didn't work to pay so paid by card with friendly server.
