   In early December, our oven stopped working, so my husband and I decided it was time to replace both the oven and the hob. After visiting several retailers, we went to the new appliance department at Harvey Norman on Boucher Road, Belfast. We were assisted immediately by John, who listened carefully to our requirements and guided us through the brands and models that would best suit our needs. We had our eye on a particular hob we’d seen online, but other retailers told us it wasn’t available in Northern Ireland. When we mentioned this to John, he offered to speak with his manager, Craig, to see if they could source it for us. A couple of days later, he phoned to confirm that they could order it and would do their best to have it delivered before Christmas. We returned to the store to agree on a price and place a deposit on both the hob and the oven we had chosen. True to their word, the items were delivered just a few days before Christmas. We were absolutely delighted with the service, communication, and professionalism shown by both John and Craig. Their help made what could have been a stressful situation completely hassle‑free. I would highly recommend this store...first class.

   click & collect service. also only retailer to have item i was looking in stock (at the lowest price too). clean, light and bright store with friendly and efficient staff. not my usual retailer but will def be checking with them for future purchases. easy parking outside and quick to get to at Boucher retail park.

   90cm Macy Mirror £225, same mirror £149 Traynors Furnishings Dungannon. Manager Eamonn refused to honour Harvey Norman price promise published online, wasn’t particularly pleasant about it either. Disappointing from such a large well established store, inflated prices in general, Google anything you might purchase and you’ll most likely find it much cheaper elsewhere.

1. The Travelling Camera ★★★☆☆

   This place is lovely to walk about but I have to say that I have bought one thing from the store in all those years. They had a photo centre and got rid of it. Not good. They had a lighting and mirrors section - and not sure if it was them or the previous business, but there were art works too - and all that has effectively gone. The section upstairs has great cushions designs - that’s the best bit. There used to be bedding sets and there’s next to nothing. There is a cafe and toilets and there’s also escalators up/down to the first floor.

   bought furniture from Harvey Norman and needed a replacement part, which i was happy to pay for, was told that they dont supply spare parts. They have the capability to provide it, as if it was a warranty claim they would do this. i would advise you don't buy from a shop who wont supply spare parts for furniture they provide, when only they can supply the spare parts. Effectively left me with a piece of furniture that now looks horrible and cannot be fixed. Be very wary of buying from Harvey Norman. Edit - reponse to Kevin, unfortunately 'going forward' is if little use to me...
