Shame i can’t put zero Made a wrong turn so went to turn around Was then told in a rude manner β€œwho told u u can park here” i then said i made a wrong turn and needed to turn around. i was then made to go inside to pay 5Β£ before he would open the barrier for me. first of all would help if there was a sign second of all could do with some humane staff

Gifted a voucher for afternoon tea for my birthday. Tried to book ( after calling 3 times previously and being promised a call back) to be told they don’t accept vouchers anymore despite the voucher being in date. Very poor customer service, no empathy. Would definitely not recommend!

Nice food but lacking options for the Sunday menu. Tasted good but the roast potatoes were not crispy and hot, which indicated that they were cooked an hour or 2 before they were served. It was mentioned to the staff but no action was taken .

I don't think in all my years I have ever come across an establishment as amazing as this one,but not amazing in a good way far from it. Ok so it was a Groupon Sunday lunch deal three course for two. First courses just about passable after that it was hold on to your hats two pork loin dinners well where to start, both basically cold been standing out for a long time before being served, paxo stuffing very hard and dry,no gravy, mashed potatoes cold, veg cold, roasted potatoes covered in cold duck fat, pork loin poor quality all in all this is something you would expect from a road side cafe and it no doubt would have been better and definitely hotter. Now you may ask did the third course save the day I don't know because it never arrived,we got sick of waiting and left before it came that's if it ever did. Not once did a member of staff ask if everything was ok, on collecting two full plates hardly anything eaten not a word was said giving me the impression this had happened before. On leaving the staff must have realized we had not been served our third course but nothing was said. We could hear others around the room complaining about slow service and cold food. The hotel itself has character and a throw back to better times it needs to up it's game regarding food and service and staff organization. It was disappointing with a Groupon without one paying full price no way.

Had a wonderful birthday afternoon tea at Donington Manor Hotel. Staff were welcoming, shout out to James for being a lovely host, the setting was charming and relaxed, and everything from the sandwiches to the cakes was fresh and delicious. A lovely experience – can’t wait to go back!

I had my birthday meal here. Craig Riley served us with incredible dishes, the best salmon I’ve ever had, with the highlight being the beef, never had beef so tender. His take on the sticky toffee pudding was the perfect finisher. the service was faultless and really made me feel welcome, with a few added surprises. Thank you for providing such fantastic service and beautiful dishes.

Had a 60th birthday party for my brother. We were allowed to decorate the room with banners, balloons etc. Staff at the bar were lovely but appeared to be fairly new as to drinks and prices bless em. The reason l only gave four stars was due to the excessive price of the drinks, ie £6.75 for a glass of Rosè.

Only went for two nights so bear that in mind, first night Friday disturbed sleep due to loud music from pub opposite, second night Saturday someone managed to lock themselves out of hotel, rang main phone which was audible from our room at 0300 and again at 0500 am so all in all not an ideal stopover, can't comment on food as when we booked it didn't give us the option. Room was good staff were excellent and friendly.

Attended a wedding here at the weekend of someone very special to our family. Everything was just right. The manager and his team went above and beyond. Nothing was to much trouble. Our room for the night was spacious, clean, comfy with a lovely view of the garden. Breakfast was very good and service also good. Will definitely stay there again in fact will be booking soon for an afternoon tea Thank you to all. Would definitely recommend.
