Can't recommend & based off my experience I'd avoid them. They're a bit of a strange company to deal with & often did things in a odd manor. I've nothing positive to say about them, loads of negatives which I can't be bothered getting in to. Long-story-short they're your typical greedy cheapskate do-nothing esate agents. They're all the same.
I loved staying at the property but tbh it has to be updated would be alot better the neighbours are lovely. I had to buy alot off things for the house when I moved in cause it only comes partly furnished but I made it more homely with putting my own things in it too. The back garden is lovely too but you are responsible to maintain front and back garden so I got a gardener to cut it every 2 weeks. The oil heating is fine you have to put it on to get your hot water which was OK. There is only a shower in the property but its a good shower, the dish washer is good too. I brought the TV the TV unit coffee table lamp candles rug and throws and other wee things plus all the stuff for kitchen like air fryer kettle toaster dishes cutlery etc and bedding for the 3 beds in house too but that what made its more homely the owner defo needs to put new blinds in and new sofa in and up to date curtains or black out blinds. But I did enjoy this house and unfortunately have to leave in January 2024 Plus LJ Rentals was a good company to deal with and staff are nice did not get any hassle from them and when I had a issue with my shower it got sorted.
LJ Rentals are a top tier authentic letting agency - a rarity in the current market. Their premises are fairly priced and Louis and his office staff are very kind and always willing to help. I feel like the house is really my own and I am not just a drop of rent to the agency. Louis has went above and beyond to help us girls in the house even if the advice doesn't fit his job role requirements! 100% recommend. One of the rare, decent agencies.
Have been letting from LJ rentals for over 3 years and have never had any issues. Anything that needs done in the house, it is sorted within a few days maximum. Louis is so helpful and is always on hand to help with whatever is needed. Would recommend!
I viewed a house and after submitting an application, I received an email to say that I would receive a phone call to tie things up. When I received the phone call I was at work and I got a voicemail to say to phone back asap. I phoned back a few hours later to be told they had given it to someone else! There was no grace period and I felt it was messaged to me that my application was successful through the email and voicemail. Very unprofessionally handled.
Not entirely okay with the whole "pay us a £35 'application fee' and we promise we'll pay it back if you don't get the flat" way of doing business, all staff perfectly pleasant on the phone but I see this as a predatory business practice so be careful!
Interested in a property. Sent in application form and other supporting documents, including over 5 years of uninterrupted rent payments GREATER, than the property I was enquiring about. Was advised that the property was "Let Agreed". Weeks later, the property has still not been altered, on their own website, never mind 3rd party sites. Makes one wonder what sort of in house filtering they've decided to adopt. Sent email request to company to ask for clarification; response was notable by its absence. There are plenty of professional agents landlords and tenants can access. If I could give zero stars, that would still have been overly complimentary.
The whole experience with LJ Rentals was a pleasure from start to finish. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly when I enquired about a rental. The viewing stage was excellent. Very informative and easy to communicate with. Finally getting the signing done at the office was a joy. Very straightforward. Great company to go through.
They don't do viewings in the evening or on the weekend so you have to take off work to view the flats. They gave me two possibilities for viewings, the next day or in 7 days. I cant take off work on short notice like most people so I scheduled the viewing 7 days ahead, I asked If the property would still be available by then, they say it would. Got called three times changing the time of the viewing and finally called me up one working day before the viewing telling me it was gone. Would avoid in favour of more flexible agencies
