I had the loveliest time at The Tea Garden with my husband! I always walk past this tea room on my way to/from the train station but only just managed to find time to book a slot. Possibly the best little sandwiches I’ve had in an afternoon tea set, and I have been to quite a few. The tea room is beautifully decorated and in a way that makes it feel lived in rather than just a business. We had a lovely chat with the owner Jonathan before we left too. Will definitely come again when our family visits to share this wonderful experience with them!

This tea room is absolutely charming! Beautiful setting and afternoon teas freshly made to order. The sandwiches and cakes are delicious and the scones are the best I've ever tasted! Jonathan is always so friendly and welcoming and, every time we visit, whether it's sitting in the delightful Edwardian tea room or the secluded garden, we have a lovely time.

It’s a lovely place to go for a afternoon/high tea. The host Jonathan was really lovely, interested and a very good host. Really good fresh made sandwiches, one off the best scones we ever had and the cakes where delicious. I can recommend everyone to go there, really lovely small English place. Thank you Jonathan, we will come back.

Last Saturday, our family celebrated at The Tea Garden in Lewes with a lovely afternoon tea. Jonathan assisted with arrangements, while Libby and India provided delightful service. Fresh sandwiches, delicious scones with cream and jam, and delightful cakes were served. The cozy, beautifully decorated dining room and charming little garden made our visit memorable. We look forward to returning.

Such a lovely surprise! We were visiting Lewes and just wanting a nice cup of tea, and stumbled upon this lovely gem. The back room had a lovely tea service, including a small escape room game that can be played, great service, tasty scones. It did fill up quickly as only 4-5 tables in the back, so there could be a wait (but it is worth it!)

Had a great time at The Tea Garden. Great prices, delicious scones and amazing leaf teas in lovely china cups. The owner is very friendly and really knows his stuff. The place it is gorgeous. We enjoyed having a cuppa in the cosy coffee area at the front but couldn’t resist giving a peep to the wonderful tea room. Overall, a great place which I would highly recommend. If in Lewes, you must go!

We were visiting our daughter in Brighton and came out to Lewes for a walk around with our dog, Wolfie. Really fancying a 'tea' stop rather than a coffee one, we spied a sign, The Tea Garden. We were greeted by Jonathan who kindly confirmed that we could bring Wolfie in to the pretty little rear courtyard where he settled us into a little shelter made for two. He was a charming and entertaining host and the home made cakes and tea were just the ticket. A delightful and cozy little gem of a place that is a 'must visit' when in Lewes. A proper tea shoppe! It is obvious that a huge amount of time and energy has been put into the design and fitting out of this delightful establishment and we will certainly return when visiting the UK next time.

Absolutely gorgeous place! Beautiful vintage and art deco decor; lovely and cosy inside, with a fabulous little garden for warmer weather. Delicious teas and lunches, with home made scones, quiches, sandwiches; all beautifully presented on vintage tableware. We had a lovely lunch of smoked salmon sandwiches, with an everlasting pot of tea and a delicious scone. I'm looking forward to our next visit!

Lovely tea garden in Lewes. The garden was the perfect place to relax on a sunny afternoon, and the owner very friendly with a high attention to detail. The cream tea was delicious, with the scones freshly made that day.
