   We had a salesperson come over and measure up our space, they then took weeks to get back to us after several phone calls and emails to prompt them. Unfortunately their price was double the cost of a wren kitchen and had far less units included, the ranges did differ as did the appliances but nearly £17000 difference!……come on, the difference in price was more than the whole Kitchen from wren. We then got back to them explaining the price difference and on their request we sent over the complete design from wren so they could give us a cost comparison on a like for like basis. Weeks went by again and I had to chase them for a response, they finally sent an email that outlined a few differences in their original quote to explain the cost difference but no new price. Basically they’d forgotten us again or couldn’t be bothered to actually re-design the kitchen and give us a new price. I wouldn’t waste your time with these and if you want a howdens kitchen I’d recommend a different branch or better still go to wren who were extremely helpful and gave us hours of their time.

   Although delivery of my kitchen is not due yet I have no hesitation in saying that the kitchen designer Sarah Y is an absolute star and based on our experience this far we would highly recommend. Sarah is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and patient. It sadly seems rare these days to be able to give such praise but excellent customer service should be highlighted. Thank you Sarah. Update: Kitchen delivered and fully installed and our review remains at 5 stars - delivery service excellent, product quality excellent, no problems with installation and our fitter also extremely impressed with all aspects. Thank you Howdens.

   Totally bizarre. Essentially wouldn't let me get a price because I didn't have an account, but then wouldn't set me up an account as they didn't think I would be buying enough stuff from them. The woman seemed to insinuate that there was some minimum monthly spend/order that she didn't think I'd meet (knowing nothing about me or my trade) but couldn't tell me what that minimum was. Blows my mind how hard they made it for me to give them money. I would advise clarifying your rules about account holding. One star for proximity to McDonald's
