   The shoes I ordered didn’t arrive, and when I called were flagged by their team as probably lost. But HoF were investigating for nearly a month and would not refund me. In the end I had to go to my credit card company to cancel the payment. Then, they asked for a review which I submitted as above, and I got a message saying sorry we can’t publish your review it doesn’t fit our guidelines! So please feed back but we will only take it if it’s positive? I will not buy from them again they have no integrity.

   Good clothing range. I went to phase eight this week and was completely ignored by the two shop assistants, and when I wanted to try on a few dresses no words were exchanged apart from something like 'there you go' as they were too focused on the other customer (maybe racist, think I won't buy anything). Also they let a customer's male partner inside the small dressing rooms - he stayed there - this was quite inconsiderate and made me uncomfortable especially as 1. this was purely a female clothing store and 2. the doors were very short in length, anyone who's slightly tall could see right below even from the outside if you are changing. The customer was trying on some dresses for a wedding and they appeared to be chatting to her and her partner quite well, I am sure they remember.

   I wouldn’t even give it one star as a Department store they are so bad at getting back to you via email , they don’t answer the phone . My son brought me pyjamas from Ralph Lauren and after a few washes noticed little holes . I contacted Ralph Lauren and they said they will contact House of Fraser this was back in January . I was told within 14 days someone will be in contact with me . I’ve heard nothing contacted Ralph and they said we will forward your email to them again nothing . I live 40 miles from this store . I’m hoping they can resolve this but I’m making sure my son doesn’t buy anything from there for his wife and child and himself if this is the quality of service .

   House of Fraser has replaced Debenhams as the department store on our shopping trips. It's a bit more upmarket but not totally out of our league. The labels and the quality are excellent and although we don't always buy something, when we do it's a considered purchase.

   No returns only exchanges. Ridiculous policy which I wasn’t made aware of before my in store purchase. Rude customer service when I tried to return a dress. Make sure you’re 100% happy before you buy or go direct to the brand to purchase,

   I will NEVER purchase from House of Fraser again! It is now basically Sports Direct, with Sports Direct's level of ethics. I bought an expensive dress two days ago. I discussed at the till that I couldnt try it on as I had my son with me. Went back to return it today as it is too big, to be told that they do NOT do refunds!!! There was no mention of this at the time of sale. Despite my arguments, I now have a substantial credit note which I have no desire to use in their stores. Total unethical cowboys! I used to love HoF but they have lost me forever as a customer and earned themselves a Trading Standards complaint too

   House of Fraser Reading is located inside The Oracle shopping centre. It’s a stalwart store that has been there for a long time. There are a number of concessions in store that add to the overall brand and product presence. For me the main brands are: Diesel, Armani, Boss & All Saints. Recently the brands seem to have suffered a bit of product depletion meaning less choice. All Saints noticeably has much less selection. My feel is post Covid the store is attempting to rebalance. There are also way less available mens suits to choose from. That aside you can find some great products in this store and certainly during the sales you can bag some bargains. The store also offers a great fragrance selection. It’s a shame that Karen Millen is no longer here as it was my go to for buying nice gifts for lady friends (who doesn’t like Karen Millen right ladies?). It’s a small miracle HoF didn’t get wiped out by Covid and the shift in high street to online shopping. I think you will always find something in this store that you didn’t know you needed. I’d recommend a visit if you are shopping @ The Oracle.

   House of Fraser never disappoints me and I find the products easily. Staff are very helpful and are aware of their store very well. I go to shop one thing buy buy many more than I had planned for. You can everything under one roof and the quality is fantastic and the price is also good.
