   Was around the area for a job and we decided to stop by for food. I must say the beef pie is absolutely amazing. Service too was excellent. The atmosphere is great as well. Music just at the right volume. Food is very much priced for its quality. Overall, it was worth the stop. Much well recommended.

   Came here for a meet up with family for lunch. What a lovely cosy welcoming pub, Staff were brilliant and made us feel at home with eleven adults, two small children and two puppies! The food was great and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Great location would highly recommend !

   The Baskerville Arms is the friendliest, most welcoming pub we have stayed in on the Thames Path. There are four beautifully appointed rooms (minor detail, but the most luxurious towels we’ve ever encountered!). They take dog-friendly to new levels (including a cooked sausage for our dog at breakfast). Fabulous team who went out of their way to make our stay a real pleasure. Highly recommended!

   We took a party of 47 oldies and volunteers for a day trip to Henley on 11 June - a river boat trip along the Henley regatta course and on to the Baskerville Arms in Shiplake for a wonderful lunch and a relaxing afternoon in their beautiful pub garden before the coach trip back home to Farnham. Graham and Gill were so helpful in advance of our visit - creating a special menu and endeavouring to meet specific needs. And on the day all food was served in good time and efficiently by a team of happy and willing staff with everybody getting what they had advanced ordered. So many positive comments from our oldies - they want to go back next year!! Graham also ensured that the coach could park right outside the pub making life so much easier for everyone. Thank you for a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️++ service and meal.

   With closing at 6pm on a sunny Sunday, I arrived at the bar at 5.18 to be firmly told that last orders had been called at 5.15 and I was therefore refused service. 45 minutes seemed a ridiculously long ‘drinking up time’ particularly as I explained that we were due elsewhere at 6. I shall not be troubling the bar staff again.

   Friendly welcome and a beautifully landscaped garden. Staff were excellent and service was prompt. Not many vegetarian options, and other items that had sold out meant a slightly reduced menu. Otherwise very good.

   Laughably small portions and a weirdly long wait to pay our lunch bill put us off this place- even though the garden is lovely and the food tasted fine. The soup bowls (main portion) were so small they literally gave us teaspoons. Imagine running a kitchen and not knowing there's already a soup spoon...
