   I ordered two polished brass latches on 28 September. After over a week nothing arrived and I was told to wait because of Royal Mail strikes. I waited and received Royal Mail from orders with other suppliers but nothing from them. I called and they said they would resend the items. They arrived today 19 October but they weren't polished brass. They sent me the wrong order. How can one deal with people like this?

   Overall poor experience. Initially fine. I ordered a set of handles and a privacy latch. The correct products were dispatched in a timely manner and arrived safely at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the spindle that came with the latch didn’t fit well on one side. I requested a replacement or return. I then had to enter into a prolonged exchange of emails with their returns department who suggested that I cut it shorter with a hacksaw, which I declined to do partly because I am confident that doing so would not help. We disagreed over whether the product was faulty and so I asked to return the item. I was provided with a return form. However, the returns policy makes a big deal about not having loose parts in the box on returning the item and advised that a restocking charge could be made if the packaging was not to their satisfaction. I wish I’d read the returns policy before ordering. I would not have order from this company. I will not do business with them again. I think that if the part had worked fine and I hadn’t had to deal with their approach to returns I would have thought this company was fine.

   Really happy with my experience with Handles4Homes. I was contacted pretty much immediately to tell me that some of my order was not in stock and to be offered a part delivery (they all ended up being sent together anyway as they came in quickly). They also managed to spot that some of the parts that I ordered wouldn't work together so gave me a call, recommended an alternative and amended the order straight away. Would most definitely use again.

   I ordered 28 handles, of which only 20 were in stock. They contacted me straight away and advised when to expect the remainder. Which they sent as soon as they had them in stock.    Absolutely top notch service from Adam and Connor. Dealing with this company is like dealing with your friendly local shop, albeit online and over the phone. We were after specific 1930's style handles for a full house renovation and their support and guidance was excellent throughout the whole process. Highly recommended.
