It's not very often I am left impressed, but the Orange Grove was very good. But this was more to do with the staff who were absolutely fantastic. Lauren was simply awesome. We hired a pod for our traditional Christmas meal with friends. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff were exceptional. And more importantly the food was actually very good! What was more impressive was that it was served to us piping hot, especially considering as we were outside in the furthest pod from the kitchen. My only one gripe is that the heating inside the pod is terrible. The little lamp that doubled as a heater hanging over the table was completely inadequate - add to that the door did not seal shut leaving a large hole for wind and cold to penetrate the pod, meaning the tiny heater stood no chance. This really should be rectified, especially for the cost of hiring the pod as we eventually relented and sat there with our coats on! Aside from that we had a great night made even better by the wonderful staff and good food.

Spacious, comfortable rooms with separate living area, this made it good value, and the house itself is unique. My only complaint was lack of central heating which was surprising to see. The restaurant was somewhat more average to be honest. Although the service was good, the ala carte menu was overpriced considering the quality. The shoulder of lamb was drowned in a very mediocre gravy which made everything taste like bisto.

Stunning place and location, wonderful staff extremely helpful, welcoming and smiling. You made our special family dinner unforgettable and exquisite - massive thank you all, guys! Breakfast was great with all the family meeting in the dining room again. Great cook both breakfast, dinner & puddings. Only one strange thing in breakfast - we could not manage to get any fruits on display. Maybe needed to ask. Will do next time.

My son and now daughter-in-law booked this location for their wedding. Honestly, the staff could not have done more if they had tried. From the guy at the front desk to the cleaner I met on the stairs, the level of professionalism, care and duty towards the customer was second to none. The level of service helped make the day into the special day we hoped for. The standard of food at the reception was exceptional as was the breakfast the next day. They appear to have great staff in every position within the location. If you have any concerns, I'd recommend paying a visit and trying the food and seeing the staff for yourself. The level of service you see on that day will be the same on your big day. If you do proceed and attend the taster day, the same standard of food will arrive on your big day. I honestly couldn't fault a single thing from a guest perspective. The staff helped make it a very special day and nothing was too much trouble. I'd highly recommend The Orange Grove for any event or even if you wanted to stay here for any occasion.

First visit for lunch. Beautiful building, grounds and attention to detail. The staff were fantastic and the food amazing. We asked about the lovely flowers on the table. They really stood out and we were told they have a florist who comes in and is responsible for this. Then I noticed other floral arrangements at the entrance that were just stunning. I can imagine this would be a fantastic location for a wedding and many other social events! Will definitely be back.

It was such an amazing building with huge apartment rooms. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming and made our stay even more special. Booked a pod for work Christmas meal and had a cream tea, and booked an apartment for the night. The afternoon tea was delicious, and as I am gluten-free, it was a real treat. The apartment rooms were huge, clean, and warm. The pod was cold, so I would recommend boots and blankets, but the food was hot and beautifully presented, we had the Festive menu, and I loved the choice, and the food itself was filling and delicious. The waiting staff were lovely and were working so hard in the cold. We had a great night's sleep and woke to a frosty view over the surrounding grounds. Breakfast was lovely, and again, the service was excellent. Thanks so much for making us feel so welcome. We really didn't want to leave.

We had a pod booked for 8 on a Friday evening in November. The pods do stay warm and there's blankets available too. The food was absolutely beautiful, none of us could fault any of the dishes. Portions are big so we took so doggy bags home with us. The servers were absolutely brilliant! Very friendly, and knowledgeable about the food and drinks menus, giving great recommendations. A brilliant night out.

Stayed at the Mansion last week, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Some of the rooms defiantly need updating but I believe this is a work in progress. The staff were very friends especially Anna on reception who was very attentive. The food was faultless. both dinner and breakfast. We will be returning but will be upgrading our room.

Went here today for Sunday lunch after reading good reviews. Have got to say I was very disappointed. Ordered Roast Chicken my wife ordered Beef. We asked for extra roast potatoes as we had read in other reviews that you got very few. We got none, not any on the plate and no extra portion. Ordered extra gravy, they forgot. Got the usual large hard cold Yorkshire pudding. Didn't eat that. I got a Chicken portion, didn't expect that poor. When I complained that we didn't receive what we ordered we got it but too late. The meal was ruined by then. Also very expensive for what it is Will not be returning. Shame nice building and location but a lot of work to do !

Me and my family were in one of the pods for Sunday lunch, was shocked at how Beautiful the location was! Had a lovely bubbly waitress looking after us, i believe her name was Amelia. The food was amazing and the Sunday sharing board i would definitely recommend. Will be back to try the afternoon tea!
