We stayed New Year’s Eve for a little overnight break away, we wasn’t expecting such a high standard for the price we paid for the room. Everything was more than perfect and we were very impressed with the stay from start to finish. The reception staff were all welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you, the 2 gentlemen (Alfie) and sorry I didn’t catch the other man’s name who were greeting people for breakfast were very kind and polite. The staff are a credit to the hotel. It’s situated right next to west quay which is a bonus. We are already looking at bringing the children for a night so they can stay to. Thanks very much.

We decided to stay at the Novotel the night before we embarked on a Scandinavian Cruise. It was perfectly placed for access to the Port. Literally less than 10 mins away. The staff were helpful but we found our room to be a little tired. Our price for the room & parking our car for 15 days whilst we were away was very competitive. However, the offering of breakfast at £18 pp was a little excessive. So we decided to walk to the nearby IKEA store & have breakfast there.

All in all, it was a very pleasant stay at the Novotel Southampton. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and spacious, but could need some renovation. The price-performance ratio was acceptable. The central location is great for all kinds of activities.

I stayed at this hotel for a weekend and it was a lovely stay, all of the staff were lovely and welcoming. Catherine that booked us in who is on the main desk Was ever so helpful and friendly and if I had any enquiries she was happy to help. The location of the hotel is perfect, easy to get to shops, restaurants and taxis ect. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel in Southampton - very well-maintained. The staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel is 10 mins walk to the West Quay mall and High Street. About 10 mins walk to the old town and walls. It is right next to McDonalds in case someone wants a late night meal. The parking cost is 12£ For overnight stay. The breakfast was decent. The team had ensured early checkin for us- which was very convenient. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very close to the city centre and the business park is right opposite. We used it for a business function. The room lighting is a bit dark but the setup was perfect. The lunch food was fantastic and the in-between coffee and tea as well as biscuits were high class. The staff were very accommodating. Overall,, an excellent experience.

Nice staff at check in, very quick as I had done most of it online. Good room, I had a superior room, and even got time to quickly use the pool and sauna. The pool was lovely even though it is only around 10m in length. Had a evening meal here - thick tomato soup, some spiced salmon and ice cream to finish. Breakfast was decent - they had a pancake maker for fresh pancakes!

Rooms not too spacious but fairly clean. Some could do with damp dusting. Service good depending who you come across. Location within walking distance to the city centre and entertainment places. Good distance to dock gate for your cruise

Perfect place for a stop off. We didn't make use of the facilities but the room was comfy for 2 adults and 2 children. Reception team really friendly and even gave my son a birthday present, a lovely touch!!!

We had our wedding on 30/7/2022 at Novotel (Southampton) and we could not fault a second of it. Our day was fantastic, the staff were friendly, efficient, nothing was too much. The day ran so smoothly, the was no strict timings, it was on our call, we weren’t rushed to do anything, our guests weren’t moved on to clean the tables, food was delicious, everyone ate together, there’s was no waiting around between courses, the staff weren’t clumsy, they were quiet and efficiently served and cleaned up, you wouldn’t have even know they were there, and our toastmaster Brian was incredible, he went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble, he even set up some table displays as we didn’t have time and made our day easy and stress free. All our guests commented on how great he had been. Brian is a credit to the hotel! Everyone needs a Brian when they’re getting married. Facilities were good, room was nice and comfortable. The function rooms from ceremony to evening were gorgeous! We loved the lights on the ceiling ❤️ The tables were dressed so beautifully and chairs looked wonderful with the covers and sashes. The wedding package was definitely worth more in great service and the extra little touches than we paid. We would highly recommend the Novotel for your wedding! Thank you for a beautiful day! ❤️ Jess & Sarah x
