   The compleat angler is one of our favourite hotel to celebrate Christmas every year. The hotel is beautifully decorated. I would very happy to spend my whole day in lounge. We have stayed here 17 times but this year will be memorable. The restaurant was very busy this year we have Christmas Eve dinner, lunch and received a high quality service from the our server om who was attentive throughout the service. Whenever we need anything he was there with a smile. Staff was excellent, Manager Charles was very accommodative. Our room 94 was lovely have housekeeping facilities everyday . Thanks om for making our stay memorable will be back on summer to enjoy the lawn dining.

   This is absolutely stunning location we are here for lunch. Very nice food and service by Cladwell and Shiva. We enjoyed our time here and after lunch we ask reception if we can see room and she showed us room no 84 very nice clean and well presented over looking river Thames. We will be back to stay soon. Thank you for your hospitality.

   Beautiful hotel and unbeatable location Very cosy atmosphere and Very friendly staff. Especially Vanessa and Shiva lunch time both amazing and welcoming. Mia and Tom are very helpful with all the questions we have. We have stayed here. Also, We came here for Christmas Market. The weather was not good, but they have arranged all inside and outside fire pits with Marlow umbrellas very impressive. The room is very beautiful, nice clean thank to housekeeping team genlemen called Marcin very helpful with our luggage and we find out he is working here more than 12 yeasrs WOW, Christmas decorations were going up feel so good. We love to visit this hotel with friends and sure coming back in summer. Thank you Compleat Angler team.

   Stayed there for two nights at the Macdonald Compleat Angler Hotel and was exceptional from start to finish. The location by the river is absolutely beautiful, creating a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere the moment you arrive. The hotel itself has a classic charm while still feeling modern and comfortable. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive—nothing felt too much trouble. Check-in was smooth, and throughout my stay everyone I encountered was friendly and professional. My room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully furnished, with a lovely view that made the stay feel even more special. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the overall attention to detail was clear. Breakfast and dining were excellent as well—great service, high-quality food, and a lovely setting. It’s the kind of place where you truly feel looked after. Overall, a fantastic experience. I’d happily stay again and highly recommend the Compleat Angler to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

   I have known of the Compleat Angler all My life - living local. My latest trip was for a Tina Turner tribute act with dinner. I found the staff friendly and polite and made you feel very welcome. The food was excellent as was the overall price for the event. We parked in the car park and made sure we registered our vehicle in the hotel - if you dont you will be fined. The location of the hotel is beautiful- by the river Thames and opposite the main Marlow church.

   Great three day stay at The Compleat Angler. Our room, with a view of the weir, was top notch. Food at breakfast and in the bar was excellent. A lot of parking space. Could not fault any of the staff - but Marcel and James deserve a mention for their efforts running the bar. Sam was a star at reception, while Olivia and Joel brought a smile at breakfast.

   We really enjoyed our Christmas stay at The Compleat Angler. The setting is perfect, our room was really great overlooking the weir and with our own balcony it was large and well designed, the bathroom was spacious and modern with his hers sinks and a separate bath and shower. The only slight disappointment was the Christmas Day Lunch - the turkey was preformed stuffed roll - not great and a slightly cheapening of the Christmas event. Such a shame really would have been much better with carved fresh turkey. Would recommend staying but maybe not at Christmas when expectations of the trimmings are high.staff are very helpful and friendly.

   The hotel takes it’s name after the book on fishing written by Izaak Walton in the 17th century. Located just next to the Marlow bridge on Thames River, the hotel offers excellent views of the bridge and church on one side and the Marlow lock from their dining room. The place oozes of small-town quaintness and a sense of community. The hotel is great for both stay and meetings. Several pictures hanging on their walls speak about flowers, fishing, and nature. Stay was very comfortable, I liked the fact that they have Nespresso machines in the room, making it my instant favourite! Breakfast also has variety to suit the taste of vegans and non-vegetarians alike. They have ample parking space in the front.

   The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. Our waiter, Joel, was most enjoyable as well as efficient. We loved our experience there and would recommend. The setting is beautiful, the town is great to walk around and the whole atmosphere is relaxing.
