Lovely place, bit expensive for a sandwich. Staff were lovely, busy and areas were reserved but managed to fit 9 of us in. Food was tasty. We all enjoyed our meals.

Often come to the red lion with my son after his swim lesson in Odiham. The staff are always incredibly friendly and very professional. They're incredibly accommodating for young children which makes this a really great breakfast stop for us, and the coffee is great!

One of the best hotels weβve ever stayed in, if not *the* best. Apart from being extremely good value, everyone was very welcoming, the room was immaculate and the breakfast delicious. Itβs obviously very well looked after by all concerned with lots of thoughtful touches everywhere. Will be back.

Had a lovely stay at The Red Lion - the room was lovely, really nicely finished with lots of nice touches (including ESPA toiletries and a Dyson fan). Bedding was lovely. Spotlessly clean room with blackout curtains. The staff were very welcoming. Only downside is the lack of parking - have to park on the high street, which is free from 6pm - 8am, with 2 hours free parking. You do need to find a space though which isnβt guaranteed. Breakfast was perfectly fine; only continental, but did include boiled eggs. The pastries were a little underwhelming - they could get some nicer ones. Food needs to be covered to protect from flies - which they did do as soon as I mentioned it. Overall, a lovely stay in a beautiful little pub.

Lovely village pub. Great for drinks and food. There is a nice outdoor area that is perfect to watch the world go by, on sunnier days.

Nice food, poor customer service. Reserved a table for 2 just after midday. Arrived a few minutes late and was told that I had choice of 2 tables, 1 of which had just become available. Both tables were tucked away squeezed into corners, but that's cosy right? Went to order food to be told that the menu advertised on the website isn't available in Novemner and December as they start to get busy for Christmas so stop their deals. No big problem, we ordered a main with a view to order a dessert later. The mains came and they were good value for money and very tasty, the waitress asked if we would like a dessert menu to which we replied yes and she promptly brought us one. At this point most of the tables had emptied and there weren't many people left eating. 35 minutes later she returned to ask if we would like to order a dessert which we declined as had other plans arranged. This drew a huff from the waitress who seemed genuinely annoyed that we had declined and asked for the bill instead. Overall a very disappointing experience that I don't plan on repeating.

I am very grateful to the staff of this hotel. My car blew out here at night and stayed here for one night. I thought I could take a taxi to the tire shop and the tire shop would go and change my tires. The hotel staff told me that I needed to find a mobile tire service, not tire shop. Due to my poor English, the staff helped me to book a mobile tire service on the phone. He is so enthusiastic and helpful. I am really grateful for what he have done for me. In addition, the room was clean and tidy and the double bed was very big and very comfortable.

Let me start with the good things: lovely staff doing their best to make customers happy, lovely room with comfy bed and towels. Butβ¦. Quite a few things that would need to be fixed to get a higher score; food wise, if you charge 15.95 for a burger, make sure it is really amazing and not an over cooked meatball on a stale bun with some sad salad leaves and tasteless tomato. Make sure you serve a breakfast that includes at least some eggs, even hard boiled. And refill a juice carafe once it is emptied. And here is a tip for those of you booking a room at this place; do not get a room in the front as the road is really busy and noisy and they have a very liberal policy when it comes yo kicking customers out after closing time which means theyβll sit below your room window with their drinks for quite some time making it impossible to sleepβ¦.
