   Visited here the other day for the first time and safe to say we will be back! The food was beautiful and was very accommodating for my vegetarian partner and offered to make anything she fancied whilst I had the fillet it was cooked to perfection! The blonde waitress (I didn’t quiet catch her name) was very knowledgeable and more then happy to help whilst the owner took time out of his way to make sure we was okay in between cooking we live in willerby so not to far and will deffo be coming back to this hidden gem!

   Finally got round to visiting the mad Italian after it's move back to Hessle wier. As previous patrons of the old Luciano's we eventually, after much soul searching ( those in the know will understand our dilemma), decided to give it a go. We were there on a fairly busy Thursday night, early-ish where the restaurant was quite busy. Our greeting was okay and we were led to our table, however had to ask for menus and ask for sufficient cutlery for our party size. Menu,as others have said was limited,no issue here,as it's all freshly cooked, however it was perhaps over focused on seafood and perhaps a little on the expensive side. Wines were too expensive,28 pounds for the cheapest white is excessive. Food was good and portions also, calamari starter lovely and meat balls in pasta hearty and filling. It was sad to see the owner chained to his kitchen working really hard cooking when his forte is being out amongst his customers. Service isn't good, no one in charge, young people with little experience or understanding, no one asked how our food was,did we want a desert,did we want more drinks and was everything good. This needs to improve. Despite some negatives it's a great addition to the Hessle dining scene, keep it up,employ a chef, owner get out amongst your customers and train your front of house staff.

   While we were in the area we booked for a birthday, after a recommendation and can only say we are so grateful. From the initial telephone query, through our arrival, our food, to leaving everything about the evening was fantastic. Great food in a great atmosphere and while some may say that the menu is limited, it is really a case of doing a smaller number of dishes very well. I only wish we lived closer as we would most definitely make it a regular thing.

   We came here on a Monday night and had a warm welcome. Pizzas aren't on the main menu but we were told whatever we wanted could be made. We opted for vegetarian and it was lovely. Very much enjoyed it. We have always had a good experience here and recommend to anyone who asks for places to go. The staff are all lovely and the owner is very welcoming. We look forward to returning in the future.
