Really pleased with our stay. Quiet and peaceful location. Everything you needed in the static caravan. Would definitely return. Only thing to improve is mouldy silicone around the shower tray.

Visited 10th - 14th November , stayed in dog friendly lodge . Very nice lodge in beautiful surroundings. Although the weather was horrendous Monday/ Tuesday we enjoyed the peace and tranquillity the site offers . Nice walk round the lake on Wednesday morning and trip to Hornsea in the afternoon for the obligatory fish & chips on the seafront . Staff on site were very helpful and accommodating . So impressed we booked again to return in May when hopefully the weather will kinder and allow us to explore more of what’s on offer .

What a lovely place. Accommodation was very nice, clean, comfortable and warm. Very nice site, very clean. Fishing lake is rather impressive apart from rather weedy bottom. Could do with a lot removing and trees overhanging the pegs could do with a trim as they hinder casting in some areas. The pub is very nice. The food is only available 6-8. Would be better 5-8 or 6-9. Menu Could do with a couple of regular items. A few burger meal options would be nice. The park at night is rather dark, especially the Meadows area was very dark indeed. The sites phone reception isnt the best. Could benefit from having wifi across the park even if it was at a cost per stay. Staff are all pleasant, polite and helpful. Will definitely be booking again.

Wonderful grounds to explore - we were on a touring pitch and had all amenities close by. Shower and toilet blocks were immaculate clean and really spacious. Great little pub on site and very friendly and helpful staff - welcome pack very informative.

Brilliant stay! Julie and the Team at the pub were happy, smiley and amazing considering how busy it was. Food was lovely and portions were big. Bit of trouble with the anpr at the gates at night but I was given a code to get in and out when I mentioned it in the office. Grounds were kept looking tip top. I could go on and on for all the good things for this park.

Lovely luxury unit. Immaculately clean and well equipped. Super location near the lake and views over to the Hall. Brilliant staff, friendly and helpful. Definitely going back for more long weekends. Didn't use the pub but it looks more than adequate for anyone's needs. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I booked this as a fishing break. A week before they even confirmed that their lake contained specimen pike and carp. They were also very specific about what tackle I could use. On arrival, however, the lake was weeded up & unfishable. A resident there told me that it had been this way for at least 2 years. I was advised to email in with feedback, but I received no response. On the plus side the caravan was nice and it was a beautiful location. It was a shame that their inaccurate marketing spoilt the holiday.

Great place to stay - fabulous grounds and facilities - the staff on site are fantastic - special mention to Karen and Karen aka #TeamKaren who delivered first-class customer service. I will definitely be heading back sometime soon. Nothing to do with the site, but for people staying here I would recommend walking into the village (Sproatley) and having a pint or 3 at the local pub "The Constable Arms". Daniel and the team are very friendly and went above and beyond to look after me and the kids superbly. Hospitality at its best.

  3. Ems Here ★★★☆☆

Stayed here recently and it was quieter than I expected for the school holidays. Good points were: The staff were lovely and friendly Park was free of litter Lake was beautiful The shop was well stocked Nice area for walks The washroom was clean and nicely done out. Bad points were: Cooked food was awful - over £4 for nachos with toppings yet there was hardly anything on them (see photo). Pizza was rubbish for the price too. Wouldn't eat there again. A key was needed for toilets and washroom which is absurd when there's a few people needing the washroom but all using one key. Some bins were overflowing and there was a lack of recycling facilities - this should be a priority and should be at every bin site, not just in certain areas at the front of the park. Bit dull for kids and lacked personality - needed to be a bit more interesting. Needed to have more focus on keeping with nature or the history of the area. I'd stay again just for the peace and quiet, but certainly wouldn't eat the food served.
