“We organised a private event for my sisters hen do last weekend where we privately hired the venue and they provided catering for us all. We had 20 people in total of which 8 are vegetarian and no vegans but everybody loved the food, it was delicious. They had thought of everything, playlists, table layout, self serve water on the side and even a tripod to take some group photos. We had a fantastic time and it was so special to have the venue to ourselves with sharing food and excellent service. Thank you again, would highly recommend!!”

“Oh my! What a gem! We go to Greece once a year and were very excited to find this family run restaurant and what a joy it was! The food was simply stunning! They only serve Greek wine (as they should) and let you try it before purchasing a glass or bottle so you know you will like it which is unusual but absolutely brilliant. The halloumi was just perfect and I loved the Greek potatoes and tzatziki! All the meats were really great as well. Oh and the cherry port at the end was truly a cherry on top :) Could not fault a thing. The atmosphere is just lovely. Felt like a night in Greece. Cannot wait to come again, thank you for a wonderful night. Yamas! :) We will be back soon :)”

“We bought our rangemaster here two years ago. We went back for an American fridge freezer because the service and product knowledge is excellent. The delivery and disposal of our old appliance was excellent. We had 4 men who were polite and careful managing the removal and installation of large appliances with great consideration for our home. The Wash House is unbeatable for customer service.”

The selection of other dishes was very pleasant and good contrasting flavours. I'd certainly recommend Maekong Thai for a relaxed meal. The meal with drinks was £40 each in July 2025 and was excellent value.”

“I've used Cooks for several years and feel moved to congratulate them on their delivery of a truly excellent service. They have, on a number of occasions, remained open beyond their normal hours to meet my requests, and will always come up trumps no matter how last minute my request. In terms of product quality, I've purchased flowers for my girlfriend and had them proudly displayed in our home beyond three weeks - something that baffles guests time and time again. So impressed are we of their offering that I now go out of my way, by 30 minutes, to purchase from them. Excellent, just excellent.”

“They serve the best Pad Thai I’ve ever had — honestly, it’s right up there with what you’d find in Thailand. Every bite is packed with flavour, perfectly balanced, and cooked to perfection. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. The decor is beautiful too — lots of natural wood, with a cosy yet stylish feel that makes you want to linger. “This used to be Spice Valley, and I avoided Spice Valley unless friends insisted I went for a birthday celebration. It has been taken over and is totally different and has a name change to reflect this. The food is regional Indian food, cooked to a very high standard and tasty with layers of flavour. I had soft shell crabs for the first time in my 65+yrs' life. They were awesome. If you are a bit adventurous with your food, then I suggest you try them. I then had lamb with Okra (ladies' fingers) and spicy rice. The lamb was lovely and tender, and not tough like it is in some curry houses where they rush the cooking and you get tough chewy lamb. The spicy rice had a touch of heat but was flavoursome and well worth eating. At a lot of Inian/Asian restaurants. I can't be bothered to eat all the meal and take some home in a doggy bag. No chance of that in this restaurant. I polished off the lot. This new venture is well worth supporting, unlike its predecessor. I will be returning.”

“Tried the lamb kebab] and it definitely hit the spot. The meat was juicy, well-seasoned, and grilled just right with a slight char for extra flavor. The wrap was warm and soft, and the garlic sauce tied everything together perfectly. Fresh veggies added a nice crunch. Portion size was solid for the price. Would happily go back for another!”
