“I couldn't recommend this theatre school highly enough. From the initial contact with them, they have been an absolute pleasure. The staff at Basics is professional, kind and super supportive. The performances they produce are outstanding and they truly empower their students to flourish. Thank you Basics for being awesome, can't wait to see what comes next :-) If you are looking for a theatre school for your child, whether they are new to theatre or already experienced, look no further!”
“My daughters been having drumming lessons for 2 years & loves coming here. Really nice place & all the staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.”
“I have had the pleasure of watching Claire Marie teach now for a couple of years. She's amazing with the children her patience to help them learn and progress in dance is unmeasured. She makes sure that any child under her instruction meets their full potential and grows in confidence doing something that they love.”
“Stage 84 have been supportive and understanding of my son and his needs from when we first enrolled him into the school. My son loves his Drama lessons and his skills and confidence have improved so much, Drama has given him experiences and opportunities that have made such a difference to his self worth and self esteem. Both Craig and Becky are so experienced and such caring teachers- the lessons are structured but are fun and they bring so much to the students that attend the sessions.”
“My child has had lessons with Scott since he was 3 years old after finding an interest in drumming and music. Scott is very kind and patient with him and always makes him laugh. He has taught my child how to drum in time at the young age of 4 and he can follow simple beats and always remains enthusiastic at every lesson. Scott teaches a variety of drumming techniques and also the djembe. Scott also hand writes sheets to practice at home to keep drumming in the forefront of his mind and so it stays fun. He is very good with children and I would recommend him if your child shows an interest in music. Having children of his own really shows as he is fun, kind and friendly. Scott is also a very experienced drummer and he can really really drum!!”
“This theatre school is a lovely family feel. I’ve seen Miss Sara reach over many years. Sara is creative, imaginative and sprinkles magic. The children I’ve seen attend have always enjoyed the classes. My youngest now attends ballet and tap with Miss Lynn and looks forward to it every Saturday. Making friendships also comes with the excellent dance tutition children and adults receive. Xx”
“Absolutely fantastic holiday and after school club. They do so much for the children I can’t thank them enough. They are so patient and understanding with my autistic son too and when ever I pick my children up they are full of stories of the things they’ve done and enjoyed. The trips they put on for them my children absolutely love. Thank you guys you’re amazing. Thank you filling my children with adventures whilst I work helps to ease the mum guilt knowing they are having a fab time in the holidays on the weeks I can’t get off work.”
“I have danced with Spotlight officially since I was around 4 years old, up until I was 17 and have so many fond memories basically growing up with this dance school. Gill and Amy's teaching over the years has continued to be so valuable in allowing me to compete nationally at a University standard and I think it is a testament to the dance school that so many ex-pupils continue to keep in touch and frequently return. I have been able to dance in some fantastic places thanks to Spotlight, including the Alhambra Theatre and Sadler's Wells Theatre in London. It has always been a friendly and happy environment and I am grateful for all of the opportunities Spotlight gave me during my time there.”

“My children have attended Stagecoach Huddersfield for six years. It is a joy to watch them develop their musical theatre skills but moreover make friends and develop confidence. I have been particularly impressed at how staff have identified my children's individual skills and encouraged them to make progress accordingly, always with a great deal of fun along the way. The holiday workshops have become a staple part of our holiday routine. From the buzz of Monday casting through to Friday performance day, we love that they return happy and tired every teatime, having had a fun, creative and challenging day.”
