The music they were playing was amazing, solid 10/10 bangers over and over again, was probably in there for a couple hours and they didn't disappoint once. Constant ale and beer variations available, particularly during regular events. Staff are cheery and quick to serve and great table service. Outside seating available during the summer. “Just had breakfast at this gem of a place. We had a lovely welcome on arrival. I don't eat beans and asked for mine without, they gave me fresh tomato as a substitute which was lovely. You can have a free hot drink top up if you want. Breakfast was super tasty and just what we wanted. I mentioned when we were leaving that I'd saved half a sausage for the dog. The owner called me and gave me 2 sausages to take home. How kind! Definitely worth a visit. Thanks so much, we will be back!”

“Big Shots catered for a recent business event I held. The quality of the food they provided was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. We had a mix of hot and cold food. It was all delicious, freshly made and a bit different to what you normally see. You can tell that the team brings their enthusiasm and experience to provide great food and service. “I came for the menu and wow it didn’t disappoint. We had breakfast and I can confirm the food was amazing, a bit random but it worked. I had the good karma which has two sausages, some avocado, a tomato, a garlic mushroom, some delicious garlic and rosemary mini roast potatoes cubes. black pudding, beans and bread. My friend went for the stateside but switched bacon for vegan sausage - she also loved hers. I will say it was a bit expensive and the drinks aren’t really worth the price. I had a cup of tea for £2.45 which I felt was quite steep, but I guess we are in a cost of living crisis - regardless of the cost I’d recommend going and would definitely go again myself. It’s also quite a small place and we got the last table luckily so I’m unsure if seating is an issue but there was lots of outside seats available; it was just a bit cold so we wanted to go inside.”

“Has had a lovely refresh since new ownership. A place with actual decent coffee and a children's play space is the ultimate dream for parents. Lots of space for pram parking . There is a step to enter but staff are helpful with getting you in. There is a changing table in the toilet (which is very clean) complete with emergency supplies! The children's lunchbox is also a great deal. Edit 15/8/25 I continually come back to Golden Linings due to the warm welcome from the staff, nothing is too much trouble whether you're there for 10 minutes or 2 hours. I will be sad to be not be here so often once I'm off Maternity Leave!”
