“Tried to find a 100amp fuse for my daughters Hyundai I10 after a good Samaritan jump started her car which didn't go well, Direct Car Parts at the end of my road "not sold any of them mate" chocolate tea pot rings out. Halford didn't have them but the guy at the till says try GOING SPARE, thinking ok I'm going further from home it worth a punt. Have you got any of these showing the fuse, what size is he asked... 100amp I say, that'll be £3.99 he replied, I'll have 2 then as it's been a pain to find them. All because someone jumped the car and didn't leave the leads connected for about 10 mins to give the battery time to charge a bit. She then had an undriveable car it would only run with a charged battery nothing in the car worked no speedo either. Even RAC didn't solve problem... diagnosed faulty alternator. They got car home following morning, knowing the battery was dead put it on charge till next day (should have fully charged battery by then) when I was going to look at it. As many thing weren't working I did say to my daughter there has got to be blown fuses somewhere so checked all the big fuse and found the alternator fuse blown and because the main ECU was not getting any feedback from alternator it turns a lot of the electrics off to keep car running.”

However, earlier this year I had serious engine failure nearby to Berwick Service Station. I was greeted in reception with a smile and immediately felt comfortable leaving my vehicle. They completed a major job to my entire satisfaction. Recently, an unfortunate shunt demanded another visit to this gem in Berwick and a lovely smile by Mary-Ann at reception. I had noticed some very posh expensive cars on their premises and was aware of their body workshop. George, their bodywork specialist viewed the damage to my vehicle and cheerfully conveyed 'no problem'. In record time my car was ready for collection and I was truly gobsmacked on seeing the superb workmanship both on bodywork and final paint finish. A truly professional piece of work by a craftsman. Look, I've told you about this gem, but don't go waffling to your mates in the pub about it.”

She talked me through the potential cause of the problem and how to express the gland at home. She then examined Norbert's glands and they didn't need to be expressed. Isobel did not charge for her time, which was fantastic. Given her calm nature and rich experience I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Isobel. “I took my old beloved faithful shoes in for repair that should have gone in the bin as over ten years old. Collected them two days later and have been brought back to life. Excellent workmanship with new sole and heals and stitching. Had another pair of shoes re-healed with metal heals which is hard to come by now as most places only do rubber heals which do not last. This is excellent service and give 10/10 not to mention the cost which is far way cheaper than other places without the quick personable service. The most kind gentleman, also removed chewing gum off of shoes which I failed to do with ice. He really does care about your shoes and goes beyond just repair. I was not charged for stitching to my shoes which a previous company just bodged with glue and had an ugly lump on my shoe. This has now been professionally repaired. Can't say enough about this kind man and he offers a first class service in all respects. No matter how battered your shoes are, he makes them look good again and is a most honourable man.
