“Excellent roadside cafe / ‘greasy spoon’. Friendly service, good prices and exactly what you’d expect in terms of food. There are even chickens, ducks and Emus on show to keep you entertained while eating!”
“This is a beautiful little hidden gem. We were nearby and put ‘cafe’ into google maps and found this awesome place. We came just before lunch service ended but nothing was too much trouble. The food was perfect, gluten free and vegetarian catered for. Great prices and super chilled atmosphere. Staff were brilliant. Highly highly recommended.”
“Popped in while traveling. Arrived not too long after opening and were seen immediately. All staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food we had was out of this world and everything we saw others ordering looked just sublime. We had the swordfish which melted in the mouth and everything comes with veg and both roast and dauphinoise potatoes. If you have the chance to eat here, do so you will not regret it.”
“Lovely little tea room, sadly as I have the dog it's not really possible to go in there, but they do takeaway so go and grab some of the random assortment of various cakes on offer. They also do doggy ice cream so dogs are rather happy too after doing the 4.5 mile circular walk around the High Street.”
“Exquisite “fine dining” experience beyond what you might expect from a typical pub!!! Great selection of beer on draft! We ate under huge canopy outside & inside the pub was full of olde world charm & character!! Friendly staff!! Will return again when in the area!”
“I believe 5 stars are not enough to show the level of satisfaction of our stay at the Manor House. Right from the get go, we were met by professionalism by the wonderful girls at the reception. A mix up with the room selection, was handled immediately, with a smile, (with a better room) and with complementary drinks. When this is the first impression, you just know your stay will be 10/10. And it was! During our stay we pretty much experienced the full level of hospitality at the Manor House, dined at the Michelin star By Brook restaurant, had amazing cocktails by the bar's fireplace, walked around the grounds, experienced Castle Inn cousine, enjoyed the lovely autumn colors of the British countryside. Special shout out to Declan at the bar, his cocktail suggestions were spot on! All in all a prefect stay, super recommended.”
“We had our company Christmas meal here. The Xmas menu was great and the food amazing. Ashley and Freya were fantastic and looked after us all evening. Fantastic value for money.”
“Just turned up about 5pm on Friday not too busy. We’ve been in the area for nearly a week and I wish we had found this before. Best food I’ve had all week and great service”
“Had a lovely dinner with amazing food and a very friendly staff. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. and we were able to get a table immediately. Pie was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is very cozy. Would definitely recommend.”
“Just visiting and found this gem of a pub. Landlord so friendly and accommodating. Lovely village vibe and very welcoming. Can certainly recommend for a visit”
“Brought my Dad here for a weekday lunch. The quality of the food and the service was outstanding. Most delicious homemade meat pies. The cheesecake dessert was divine.”
“Came here for a group of friend’s Christmas meal as previous meals have always been excellent. Lived up to expectations. Hannah was great (how she remembers the drinks orders I really don’t know), food was excellent and just the right portion sizes. Had a wonderful evening and will definitely be back”
“Reopened and serving food again. Packed with locals most evenings and the log burner keeps it cosy. Worth a visit”
“I can't say enough positive things about The Greenbean Cafe. The takeout was delicious, the place is family-friendly, and the service was exceptional. We had a flat tire in our rental car and our English isn't very good. We went in to ask for help, and the manager didn't hesitate for a moment. She helped us with the paperwork and made our waiting time easier. I'll never forget what it meant to us to meet someone so kind. Thank you so much again; my family will never forget it.”
“Me and my girlfriend have just stayed for one night, but we would have loved to stay a few more if we had the opportunity. Steve and Cathy are wonderful hosts of an amazing B&B that has everything you could ask for for a long weekend getaway. Absolutely recommendable, especially if you wish to explore the Cotswolds, Gloucester, Bristol, and Bath.”
“The tea room at Dyrham Park is a lovely place to stop and relax. The tea and coffee are excellent, and the staff are always friendly and helpful – it really adds to the whole visit.”
“Had a lovely afternoon tea at Stanton Manor Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and everything was well looked after from start to finish. The tea itself was excellent, and we enjoyed a peaceful walk around the gardens afterwards, which really added to the experience. A great spot for a relaxing afternoon.”
“I'm here often, the coffee is great and the cakes on offer are excellent! In spring, summer, and later autumn, you can sit outside on a lovely warm terrace and be served your drinks and food. It's my time out space, I've often come here to stop, think, and look for a while and the staff are always friendly and helpful too. Plus the added advantage of beautiful cake, the pear cake is delicious and with a great latte your well on your way to a great pit stop and top up to set you right for the rest of the day!”
“The village is both picturesque and has a strong sense of community. The shop plays it's part with a friendly face and local knowledge. Thank you.”
“We just had our wedding reception here and had an amazing time. The day went exactly as planned and the staff were amazing to bring it all together. The food was exceptional and enjoyed by all. Those with dietary requirements were well catered for as were the children. The grounds and venue are amazing and idyllic which produced the most amazing photos. The honeymoon suite is large, well equipped and very comfortable despite being somewhat more expensive than the other rooms (worth the additional fee). The events team were great at keeping in touch and meeting our needs for our wedding. There was just two niggles but they weren’t a show stoppers. We had hoped for the traditional outdoor Christmas tree but this wasn’t to be and was made up for by having many indoor trees. There was only the bar food menu offered the night before, that said the food was delicious then too (be sure to pre-book if you don’t want a long wait for larger groups). Be aware of time keeping for meals, you must be prompt otherwise you risk not getting fed without an additional fee. Meal timings are clearly displayed. It is a great spot for a wedding. I recommend this place for others considering a wedding of this type.”
“This is lovely pub restro in the beautiful Castle Combe and a perfect stop for a hot meal. There are only two places to eat one is the White House. We visited castle Combe on a bank holiday weekend (assuming it will be less crowded). The white hart still was very busy but they have a lot of tables and plenty of places to seat. The queue to order was long. And as they were short staffed on the bank holiday, food took a little longer to come. But no complains as the sandwiches we ordered were delicious. I don’t remember when was the last time we had such yumm sandwiches. Loved it. Wait worth a while.”
