βcame for lunch after shopping and was very pleasantly surprised. one of the juiciest burgers I've ever had and the beef gravy was to die for. I am dairy free and they swapped my cheese with vegan cheese, allowing me to enjoy the meat without the dairy. staff were very accommodating and friendly. will definitely be backβ
βPopped in for the midday lunch menu. Opened slightly later than advertised due to a gas inspection issue but hey. Once inside I was by myself so no atmosphere, but nice and quite. Ordered the half chicken with rice and a bowl of free salad. The chicken was amazing, fresh and tender and fell of the bone. Staff friendly. Worth the visit.β
βExcellent steak, we had the chateaubriand and we couldn't fault it, cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly, lauren was our waitress who was brilliant, and the restaurant was very busy with a good atmosphere.β

βThis was my first time trying Turkish food, and it was incredible! We ordered mixed kebabs and the house specials combo. The Turkish bread appetizer was the best!!β
βI have been to this nice bistro with my wife. We took the mussels and fish and chips: plentiful and delicious! We also ordered ice cream at the end of the meal and fortunately they had the dairy-free option. The service was impeccable: everyone was very kind and helpful. In the end we even exchanged a chat about our origins (we are Italian...). Highly recommended!β
βAnother visit and the burger is just as delicious. Juicy and freshly cooked. The place is busy and I can see why. I look forward to the next visit.β
βLovely little cosy place, we went on a cold day so decided to avoid sitting in the garden. The food was superb, quice is a must if you enjoy that kind of thing and the cake was very fresh, fluffy and light. Good selection of pastries and good service, music is mellow and not too loud. Most of the noise is the talking of others or the coffee machines.β
βMy only slight criticism is that the place could do with a little redecorating but I imagine after the last couple of years that expenditure isn't a high priority. I can get over that as the food was fantastic. For the quality of food, prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend the pork main and the peach dessert. We had such a great evening of eating with some lovely wine. We will definitely be back!β
βI recently had the pleasure of dining at Marmion House in Southsea, Portsmouth, and let me tell you, it was an exceptional experience. A group of eight of us settled comfortably in the back, enjoying the warm atmosphere and attentive service that was always there when needed but never intrusive. Our knowledgeable waitress, with a friendly demeanour, guided us through the menu, pointing out the satisfying portions of the small plates. Following her advice, I started with a delightful cheese soufflΓ©, setting the tone for a lovely meal. For the main event, I couldn't resist the allure of the Friday and Saturday special, featuring a heavenly seafood and crayfish risotto topped with a perfectly panfried sea-bass fillet. To cap off this fantastic lunch, I indulged in a decadent chocolate bar with raspberries for dessert β a sweet conclusion to a symphony of flavours. What impressed me most was the efficiency of the kitchen β each dish, cooked from scratch, arrived promptly at our table, showcasing both quality and quick service for all eight of us. The restaurant's ambiance added to the overall experience, creating an intimate setting for our gathering. Marmion House struck the perfect balance between sophistication and comfort. In conclusion, Marmion House gets my highest recommendation. As someone in their 40s, I appreciated the refined yet relaxed atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a stylish yet laid-back meal out. I'm already looking forward to my next visit for another exceptional dining experience. If you're in Southsea and seeking a taste of culinary excellence paired with superb service, Marmion House is the place to go!β
βLovely tastes, very fresh ingredients, huge bag of salt and rosemary chips with aioli on the side. Highly recommended for proper burger fansβ
βFabulous little gem. Delicious, fresh, and authentic pizza experience. Napoli is my personal favourite, and don't overlook the amazing starters such as Olive Ascolane. It's an excellent midweek choice on Albert Road.β
βExcellent fish chips, everything freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. very popular business, lots of loyal customers. happy to be able to use my debit card, bit of a rarity these days. Lots of parking spaces, fantastic.β
βWent with the family for brunch, called in the morning to confirm if they served halal food and they managed to reserve a table for 8 of us with no ease. When we arrived the table was already set up and they were expecting us and we were shown to our table immediately. We were greeted very warmly and all of the staff were very friendly and attentive. With so many of us sometimes you find that itβs harder for staff to adhere to all needs at restaurants however it wasnβt the case here and we couldnβt fault them at all. They put glasses and a jug of water on the table with no hesitation as soon as we had arrived. The food was amazing, we all had something from the Mediterranean menu and my daughter enjoyed her pancakes from the kids menu. Would highly recommend their Shakshouka with added Turkish sausage (sucuk) on the side served with the turkish bread (YUMMY!!!). Shout out to Anwar, he came over to the table and spoke to all of us, even gave us some recommendations on where to go for our short stay. We went around 10am and the restaurant was steady but upon leaving about an hour or so later, it was buzzing and full and I am not surprised because the establishment is well run, nice relaxed atmosphere and the food is 10/10. Note: Although there are Halal food options, there is pork/alcohol served too.β
βWe recently enjoyed dinner at La Campania, a charming Italian restaurant nestled on High Street in the picturesque town of Arundel. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy ambiance that made us feel right at home. The interior is tastefully decorated, giving it an authentic Italian feel, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The service was outstandingβfriendly, attentive, and efficient without being overbearing. It was great to see that the restaurant caters to a variety of dietary preferences, including a selection of vegan dishes. As for the food, it did not disappoint. Every dish we ordered was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced, showcasing the best of Italian cuisine. From the appetizers to the main course, each bite was a delightful experience. Overall, La Campania provided us with a memorable dining experience, and itβs certainly a place weβd recommend, especially for anyone looking for great service and quality food with vegan-friendly choices.β
βAbsolutely top notch cafe/bar. If you ever visit Lee-on-the-Solent you must visit here. It gets a little busy so best to book a table. Brunch is a real treat. Dog friendly. Nice friendly staff with great customer service.β
βA welcoming atmosphere in a cosy setting and very attentive staff who are perfectly pleasant and clearly passionate about their industry. Most importantly the food has an authentic Italian taste and is deliciously good. Portion sizes are generous and if anything in my opinion underpriced, certainly reasonable. Definitely a restaurant to put on your list in the Southsea area. Thank you for lovely evening.β
βA really nice, friendly Mediterranean restaurant offering really good food and excellent service. I called in here en route to Southampton for my daughter's birthday primarily because of the good reviews here on Google. I can honestly say that the reviews are accurate. The whitebait, calamari and prawns we perfectly cooked and my steak was as expertly cooked as any I've ever had outside of London. The service was excellent and our host, Bethany, made us and most importantly my daughter feel very welcome on her birthday. We'll certainly return if we're ever in the area again!β
βMyself and my brother went here yesterday for a coffee and cake. So glad we did, lovely coffee and even better cake all at a fair price. I will be going here again soon.β
βOutstanding food and service. Definitely the best restaurant in wittering and so reasonably priced. Cant wait to returnβ
