βWe had an absolutely fantastic evening. The food was delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be returning for another visit!β
βAnother great evening on Saturday 29th November at our lovely award winning local Italian restaurant. Helpful, professional staff and perfect service from the friendly, knowledgable team with a superb menu to match at an ideal location just minutes away. Thank you all for a most enjoyable evening in seasonal surroundings.β
βWe visited this lovely old pub on a summer evening walk this weekend and were enchanted by its beautiful setting in the woods, its friendly welcome by both staff and locals alike, and how beautifully kept it was - both inside and out. Spent a happy hour sitting outside on a bench in the late evening sun, watching the world go by this little pub peacefully. Will definitely be back next time weβre here. Thank you!β
βLovely food, lovely staff but a bit cramped inside. Would 100% go back again. My husband said he wished the portion sizes were bigger for the pasta (because it was delicious) but the kids pizza and garlic bread with cheese were huge.β
βWe had 2 nice pizzas, good size and very tasty. We enjoyed the atmosphere and staff was very friendly. Good location near southsea beach. Restaurant very well presented.β
βAbsolutely smashing meal, great value, lovely staff. Very tasty, well cooked food, good portions. Very much enjoyed my seafood spaghetti. Not sure if it is but feels like a family run business. Kudos!β
βWhat a lovely find. Food good priced and top quality. Highly recommended.β
βAbsolutely brilliant! I was lucky enough to be the celebrant for J&V's wedding last Thursday at The Millstream Hotel. I was welcomed by the General Manager and her team with coffee and freshly made cookies. Incredibly welcoming. The team looked after our wedding guests with care abd attention ensuring my couple had THE best day. Our service went perfectly with tge GM delivering sentimental items into the service for me to get the tone just right. Ice cream was served to all the guests whilst my couple signed thier certificate, and all in all they had the best day. Thank you for looking after me so very well, I hope to be back!β
βMy wife and I spontaneously decided to have a look at Stones Cafe while looking for somewhere to eat. As you do, we looked at the menu prices outside first. We could certainly say the prices were reasonable. As soon as we entered, you were greeted with plenty of space, a well decorated cafe that was certainly clean. We made our way to the table of our choice and again looked over the menu. The breakfast choices were limited. However, this may not be a bad thing, as this generally does ensure that the less there is on the menu, the better quality it will be. Once my wife and I decided what to eat and drink, I made my way to the counter where I was greeted by a friendly server who assisted me with my choices. Once payment was made the drinks did not follow far behind which I took to the table. As my wife and I were chatting, the staff were doing some cleaning to ensure everything was at its best. This made us happy to see and you can tell that they care about the Cafe. Our food did not follow far behind and came to us within 15 minutes. We both ordered an English Breakfast and we are happy to say it was a well prepared and served breakfast. By no means was it greasy and nothing tasted as if it was frozen or had been sat there for a while. I would certainly come back here again and even bring my family.β
βFantastic place, plenty of free parking. A nice airy entrance way with counter to order at and very friendly staff. Plenty of good sized tables and booth areas so it does not feel cramped in any way at all. There is a good selection of options on the menu and reasonably priced for the portion size. We had a small breakfast and pancakes with bacon with a coffee and a hot chocolate. The drinks came out quickly and the food was brought out about 5 mins later, delicious and hot. The cafe is also dog friendly. Overall a great cafe, great food and great staff.β
βWow, 3 of us called in for an impromptu Sunday roast and so glad we did. A lovely friendly village pub with great ales and serving a fabulous lunch from the carvery. I've never had better roast beef anywhere, sirloin from the local butcher and cooked to perfection along with a great range of veg. I will be back. Thank you!β
βFirst time trying this place out so I thought Iβd treat myself. Staff were friendly and helpful which is always a bonus! I got the Chicken Korean Style Box which included the following: βChicken boneless Korean wings coated in double glazed zing sauce, served with Korean style corn dog, chips, kimchee slaw, a sprinkle of mixed sesame seeds and spring onion, garnished with fresh limeβ with that I also added chips and a small pot of their popular garlic sauce. You get to choose between chips and rice. I loved everything (including the sauce) apart from the chicken corn dog which wasnβt anything special, next time I will opt for the mozzarella corn dog.β
βBrilliant Food! One of the best meals of my life! We got the scallops from the a la carte menu and combined that with the set menu and were throughly happy with service (Sofia, our server was excellent!) and quality of food as well as the generous serving size. The smoked duck was just delicious! The gazpacho too was a delight- the Skate had been deboned so no messing around with bones! I ordered the Fillet of Hake and was blown away by the sauces. The food ate well separately as well as with different combinations. My brother got the Korean BBQ and the puffed corn on this was a fabulous surprise! The roasted scallops had an amazing peach-chilli zing. And save space for desserts! So delicious and super tasty. The dishes are delightful, imaginative and delicious. Definitely recommend making a booking to eat here.β
βSo glad we found this Malaysian spot! The food is authentic, delicious and generously portioned. Highly recommend the char kuey teow and Penang curry mee. The wantan mee with char siew is also really good. Pair with milo ice and you'll feel like you're in Malaysia!β
βStaff were friendly, food was fantastic and the service was faster than I had expected 10/10 would recommend! One of the best breakfasts I've had at a cafe.β
βGood fresh pizza with fresh ingredients and great flavour. Great location too!β
βWe were staying at fishery creek campsite and ordered a meal to be delivered at entrance, couldn't have been easier as they called when leaving the takeaway. Lovely curry can't recommend enough.β
βGreat pub with helpful staff and a good choice of real ale. Food is very good value, very nice homely cooking and generous portions. They also offer roasts as part of the regular menu. All in all a great pub frequented by locals and yachtsmen & yachtswomen.β
βI've been going to The Briny for their Β£1 Oyster Night for years, and it never disappoints! The service is top-notch - the staff make you feel like you're at home, always attentive and friendly. The food, of course, is the star of the show, with succulent oysters and impeccable quality that's always consistent. It's more than just a meal, it's an experience that leaves you feeling happy and wanting to come back for more. If you haven't tried it, trust me, you need to get there! Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten stars if I could!β
βFabulous meal in a wonderful atmosphere. We had to order and eat quickly as going to the theatre and were looked after so well wish we hadnβt had to rush off!β
βVisited for Valentines Day at 8pm when it was extremely busy. Our waiter was lovely and helpful. The cocktails (Papaya Daiquiri and Apple Berry Smash) were gorgeous. We loved our starters (Vegetable Spring Rolls and Squid Bits), they were cooked to perfection and the accompanying sauces we delicious. We had the Thai Green Curry and Thai Melting Beef for mains, and the beef was lovely. I would highly recommend, and will be returning very soon.β
βWe were out and fancied a Sunday roast so we popped into the Cormorant. The server was polite and found us a table quite quickly. The service was prompt and the food was good. All in all a positive experience.β
βFirst time here and pleasently surprised. Really good food and very filling. We had the chicken sandwiches and the crab quiche. We didn't have to wait at all, and the staff were very polite and attentive. There are three seating areas and two inside and one outside. The one at the far back has a heater and is very nice and warm. The chairs have cushions on them n blankets, so if you're a bit chilling, you can get warm and feel cosy. These are nice touches, and I feel this does make it nicer than other places. They are not only making it look nicer but also thinking about customers who may feel the cold quicker than others like myself. We will definitely be going again.β
βHad lunch on Tuesday. We had the mint lamb shank and steak and ale pie. Both were superb, the steak pie was not only huge but the meat was so tender and very tasty. The young lady who served us was also excellent and very helpful as my wife has a nut allergy. Very good experience all round.β
βA Proper Traditional Cafe, Iβm currently on a health drive so opted for a small vegetarian breakfast which was cooked quickly and was decent value for well under a fiver. The full English looked very tempting though! Will definitely visit again when in Ryde.β
βReally cosy venue with great pizza. We had dough balls and calamari as a starter, and then the piccante al pecorino and porchetta pizzas. Such a nice atmosphere, really lovely waiter, and perfect food. I would recommend to go straight for the pizzas as with the starters it will be too filling! A shame the tiramisu was not available todayβ
βVery friendly cafe . It's always a good sign when it keeps getting busier. Staff were very polite and attentive. The food tasted superb, and portions were plentiful.β
βThe cheeseboard not only looked stunning but, had everything you could want on it and more! The cocktails were delicious, youβve got to try the raspberry ripple, itβs punchy!! Great atmosphere, friendly staff this is the place to visit on the island for a great night out, highly recommendβ
βHad a great lunch here (September '20). The menu is really interesting and the sushi of the day was particularly good. The staff are all very friendly and extremely helpful. Great views over the Solent obviously and perfect for a sunny day. Was a bit windy outside, but they offered to move me inside if needed. Booked a late lunch at 2pm and did not feel rushed even though they were winding down after their lunch service. No obvious Covid measures, although they obviously had my details from the booking. Ample space inside and out. Do book in advance if possible.β
βAfternoon Tea at the Queens was delicious. Our server, Joao, could not have been more attentive or personable. We were made to feel very welcome and he was super helpful. We did not feel rushed and had a wonderful afternoon. Our dietary preferences were met and booking was so easy. Would recommend!β
