    Co-op Food - Petrol Marksbury

    ★★★☆☆ 3.8

“I regularly use marksbury co op and garage and have always found the staff courteous and pleasant. I have actually walked in on customers regularly mouthing off to the staff for little things like having to wait for a costa coffee whilst it was being refilled with milk. Absolutely pathetic, if customers give a little thanks and polite words to the staff they would be amazed at how it would be reciprocated, I think it's just called being pleasant, try it sometime!”

    Fresh Grocery Store

    ★★★☆☆ 3.6

“I love fresh with my whole heart ❤️. Every morning I would wake up and go on my morning walk for some FRESH air. At the start of the year i would always get a meatball wrap but I was heartbroken when they stopped selling them. In fact the hot food section was a bit rubbish by the end of the year. The meal deal section quickly became my favourite. The pasta pots, the scotch eggs, the steak slices. Yum. Everything I had a craving fresh had the answer. Did I spend too much money there? Yes. Do i regret it? Never.”

    Morrisons

    ★★★☆☆ 3.6

“Morrisons is a solid, well-stocked supermarket that offers a great balance of quality and value. The fresh produce is usually top-notch, and their bakery and deli counters are always inviting. I appreciate the wide aisles and clear signage, which make for an easy and relaxed shopping experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, whether you need assistance or a quick chat at the checkout. Their café is also a nice bonus if you fancy a bite after shopping. Overall, a dependable stop for all your weekly essentials.”

    Morrisons Market Kitchen

    ★★★☆☆ 3.5

“Giant selection of Sandwiches, drinks and snacks for the meal deal, which is reasonably priced. The fast food (Pizza counter and char) is brilliant. It's quick (most days), and tastes brilliant. I had a Pizza Slice and a Mini Garlic pizza for £4, and given the size, and taste it was amazing value. Great for a quick lunch stop.”

“I want to sincerely thank the young blonde gentleman who helped me today. I had two large Evri parcels, and even though the returns cupboard was quite full, he managed to fit them in without any fuss. His kindness truly made all the difference in my day, especially after a difficult evening walking all around town and dealing with very mean staff. I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name, I just wanted to let you know how much your kindness meant to me!”

    Co-op Food - Julian Road

“I can't speak for the rest of the gaff but the bakery is a particular highlight - I once bought a raspberry croissant and found a pleasing note bathing in the jam centre that read 'you are worth it. I believe in you. This sweet treat and your purchasing of it seals the deal that you are special and you should know it. Love jasmine x'. Kudos and hat doffing go to this special employee for blessing my day and changing my life. I now believe in myself and lift weights and steal prams from skips to deconstruct and turn into fabricless tent structures.”

    Co-op

    ★★★☆☆ 3.6

“Ignore the other reviews. I've always had a really good experience when I've been into this Coop, it has been organised, clean and the staff have always been very willing to help me. Recently a member of staff, Ben (I believe), went above and beyond to help me out as I had an issue with something regarding the Hermes drop-off point. He kindly assisted me in any way he could, and saved me a lot of hassle. Overall - the 50 or so times I've been in this store: I've never had an issue. Perhaps a longer, more contextualised review from the 4, 3, 2 and 1 star reviewers might help convince me to think anything different from what I do. I don't feel they're justified. Don't be put off.”

“Always polite and friendly, helpful with my package drop-offs. Still had some Easter eggs on Easter morning - phew! and the nice girl behind the counter offered me a free coffee. I sometimes use the Cook fridge or pick up milk and bread here. I would use it more if there was better parking.”

“Recently stocking a variety of interesting things, stocks when low i have noticed take a while to be replenished, but overall a nicer experience than tesco, tesco do pack your bags though, i think the co op should do the same, some staff better than others in this respect.”

“Morrisons Daily: The Eighth Wonder of the Modern World If the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and the Taj Mahal had a love child, and that child grew up, put on a green apron, and decided to sell sandwiches, you would still only approximate the majesty of the Morrisons Daily. The moment the automatic doors whooshed open, I was greeted not by staff, but by a radiant beam of light that I can only assume was divine in origin. The fruit and veg display was arranged with such geometric precision that Euclid himself would have wept. I picked up a banana so perfectly yellow it looked as if it had been Photoshopped by the angels. The staff, meanwhile, are clearly not of this Earth. Each member of the team glided across the floor with balletic grace, somehow scanning groceries, restocking shelves, and offering life advice simultaneously. When I sheepishly asked if they had any more of the chocolate croissants, the assistant didn’t just check the back—he sprinted into the ether, wrestled with the gods, and returned clutching a warm, flaky pastry as if it were the Holy Grail. And let’s talk about the meal deal. £3.50. Sandwich, drink, crisps. I’m not exaggerating when I say it felt like a personal invitation to dine at the table of kings. I selected a chicken salad sandwich so fresh I could hear the cress still photosynthesising. My bottle of Pepsi had condensation so aesthetically pleasing that a Renaissance painter would have quit his career in despair. The crisps? Crunchier than autumn leaves underfoot, and twice as poetic. Checkout was a religious experience. The self-service machine didn’t scold me with its usual “unexpected item in bagging area” nonsense. No. It purred, gently, as if thanking me for existing.”
