“A wonderful pub in the shadow of Kenilworth Castle that serves huge plates of excellent pub grub for very reasonable prices. Friendly efficient staff and lovely real ale. Do go there if you're in the area. Probably best to book to ensure a table as it was almost full when we were there.”

“The Queen's Head is a lovely traditional English public house. It is a good place to go to for eats and drinks if you have visited Meriden, the 'Heart of England', or if you have been to nearby Millisons Wood for a walk. There is a good choice of beers, wines and spirits and the food is well prepared and presented. Your seating can be either inside the pub, outside at the front, or at the back of the pub where there is a lovely lawn area adjacent to lovely countryside. Go on folks, give The Queen's Head a try, you will not be disappointed.”

“Amazing service and food. We had paneer kadai, chicken lababdaar, garlic naan and tandoori roti and of course mango lassi is an all time favourite. Food is authentic and I have not had better naan anywhere in UK. Harindar was superb in serving us and also got a special lassi glass for our daughter.”

A party of twenty of us visited to start a birthday weekend celebration and everything was perfect. All the food arrived at the same time, it was all correct and the quality was lovely. “Nicely decorated restaurant with polite attentive staff. They have a wide range of dishes on offer covering the whole of India’s cuisine. We elected for northern Indian style dishes and we can safely safe they were very traditional in flavour, so we were incredibly satisfied. Each curry dish had a good amount of meat in it too which is worth mentioning (Lamb Balti and a Chicken Vindaloo). The Paneer for starters was a good way to get the juices flowing. All in all a brilliant experience; traditional, authentic flavours and good fair prices!”

The food was cooked to a high standard and the lamb was well done as requested. The restaurant was clean and being this was our first time in Coventry for a Special event was grateful that the Saxon Mill team welcomed us in to dine without a booking with the same food choices as the restaurant area. “Despite growing up in the area this was my first "proper" time at The George and, have to say, first impressions were very good. Light, bright decor inside with plenty of seating options, including a dedicated dining area for meals and a spacious beer garden. Good atmosphere inside, with relaxing selection of background music that wasn't so loud as to be intrusive. Service was brilliant throughout, from the bright, friendly greeting on our arrival to the attentive staff looking after us during meal. Food allergy advised at time of booking was reiterated by the staff when taking our orders, which was reassuring. And, on the subject of the meal, the food was excellent - good portion sizes, very tasty and reasonably priced too. Everyone in our group was very happy with what they had. Would definitely recommend and, although we don't really get out much, we'll definitely be back.”

“I've been enjoying lunch here regularly for over 2 years now and they've always impressed! This is a nice little sandwich shop with good service, tasty food, and a nice selection of items as well as a flexible menu. Although it does get busy at times, and especially on Fridays, it shows just how popular it is in the area! Highly recommend giving this a try. A particular highlight for me is the grilled panini with Mexican chicken, mature cheddar and jalapeños!”

“Had a breakfast take away, not the cheapest I've had but you get what you pay for and this was by far quality food, thoroughly enjoyed it. As I don't eat beans and partner don't eat tomatoes I left a note at checkout and they put a replacement I asked for which wasn't part of advertised so 10/10 for satisfaction, well done guys, definitely use them again”

“Very nice fast food. Staff is friendly and the shop is one of the cleanest i saw. When visiting the Kenilworth Castle we had a few choices around but decided on Friends because of the food and prices... the fish was one and a half foot long... Chips are crispy and portions are huge. Would definitely eat there again.”
