“I came here with my girlfriend and we were blown away by how good the food was! Everything was packed with flavor - the lobster, prawns, mussels, and sides were all cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh. The sauce was rich, buttery, and full of spices - honestly one of the best seafood boils we've ever had! The restaurant itself has a great vibe, really nicely decorated, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. With the drink discount, we paid around £60, which was amazing value for the quality and portion size. If you love seafood, this place is a must-try. We'll definitely be coming back for more!”

“Having seen the Dining Room advertising a 4 course meal for only £14.95 served sun-thur we decided to give it a try. 6 in our little party, all food lovers and with big appetites....we ordered our food from a condensed version of the main menu....Still a very good selection to choose from. Attentive waiter took our order,minutes later our food started to arrive. Piping hot,beautifully presented and very tasty...then the mains,again superb. Food polished off and table cleared,all 6 agreed that with the bill less than £100 the evening out warranted 5 stars. Backed up by the fact you bring you own alcohol. There is a main menu with a lovely looking selection of dishes at very reasonable prices, and I don't think a little mix and match is a problem.”

“We couldn’t ask for better Chinese food! This place lives up to its reputation and we feel so close to home thanks to their heavenly cooking. The crispy pork belly is so crispy and soft that it melts in your mouth. The roast duck and BBQ pork is cooked to perfection. Eat them with fried rice, just wow! The service is so nice with bright smiles. We’ll come back often!”

“A few weeks back I made a visit to Gynsills in Glenfield. I ordered a steak and ale pie with chips and veg. The ale in the pie mixed with the steak is a great combo. The crust of the pie was cooked to perfection; it wasn't soggy or undercooked. The chips were crispy! The veg mixed in with the gravy was delightful.”

“Amazing service from the time i entered to when i left, always there to get you anything you needed but never felt like they were lingering and not once did they disturb the conversation, brilliant! The food itself was very good and really felt like what italian should be and for the high quality the price is more than reasonable.”

Atmosphere is good as this restaurant is in basement and some issues with mouldy smell from carpet due to rain water. But they are maintaining well to clear it. Very friendly and hardworking staff.”

“Stayed here and watched Grease in the outdoor theatre, admittedly not the first time I have been here (obviously good as I keep coming back) again service was great, room was very clean, the show and it's every one involved in it were fantastic. A fabulous place to stay.”

“This is probably my 25th visit to John's House and an annual pilgrimage I make each summer (as I do not live in the UK). Loved it, as always, a delight to see Pedro and his wine pairings shine brightly, classically, and with personality. Loved the food, with a nice mix of classic JH dishes and some new twists. LOVED the hogget dish, that hit a new high for me. I might have eaten 5-6 breads to mop up the sauces. Charming interaction with Gracie - she's one to watch in hospitality as she just has 'it' and thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks for another great night, see you again 3 weeks! Matt”

“Ordered as its close to site , 14 inch thick crust chicken tandoori was delivered ontime, food arrived hot, pizza wasn't greasy , plenty of toppings on. Bit on the pricy side. Only thing was it wasn't that spicy, maybe I'll try a spicier 1 next time”

“Family have just had a fantastic Sunday meal. 7 adults, 2 children. The staff were lovely attentive yet unobtrusive. The food was lovely, plentiful and served hot. Good value. The menu was a Sunday lunch /Dinner range. A much larger menu is available through out the week. Thanks to all the staff and Maz.”

“Went here as I was in Leicester for the December JLPT and had come to Leicester the day before the test, hadn't made a reservation and the place was rammed but the staff kindly squeezed me in anyways which was very kind of them! (sorry to the people who had to wait a few minutes after me) Had the sushi/sashimi mix box and the tuna was probably the best I've ever had in the UK! Recommended, though maybe make a reservation if you're gonna go here around 7PM as it's a popular spot!”

“Probably the best independent cafe bistro in the city. Tucked away behind the Highcross, its a minute walk from the Clock Tower. Amazing food and service. All is cooked there and then with quality ingredients and generous portions. Staff are fantastic. Great music and decor. Has a friendly and laid back vibe.
