“We decided to go to Miller and Carter in Burton as a last minute spontaneous decision and we certainly did not regret it. The service was great with their servers paying real attention to your experience, the food was prepared perfectly to the point where nobody in our party spoke a word once it arrived and the atmosphere was welcoming and warm. This was our first time at a Miller and Carter despite always wanting to visit and it certainly won’t be our last. If you find yourself in Burton give this establishment a visit, you’ll be grateful that you did!”

“Exactly what a pub should be like in my opinion! Proper 'old school feel' with a fantastic beer selection. Not sure about food as I didn't ask...the crisps and nuts were good though...like I say old school!”

“Great service from our waitress cora, she was helpful, polite and attentive. Food was a 10 out of 10. Main meal was ready straight after our starters. And for those of us doing dry Jan they have a few 0% options to choose from. Will definitely be going back. The only reason I gave the atmosphere a 3 is because we went in at 1300 and it was quiet”

“Ordered delivery via Uber, arrived in the earliest timeslot so great. One of the best Chinese meals I can remember having in a long time, Everything was well cooked, food was hot, perfectly seasoned and well marinated. Delicious! Would recommend and will be ordering again.”

“We arrived at about 11:30pm and the place was practically empty!! We sat at a table, had a few drinks and started to get to know the bar staff. Eventually it started to get a few more people and we danced the night away! Drinks weren't too expensive, and entry was free (guessing because we arrived so early lol), so that was good. The toilets were clean, so were the seating and bar areas. I loved the layout too, with the dance floor and x2 bar areas. I don't smoke, but, I loved that the smoke area was inside, it's safer for the ladies. And I liked that there were staff keeping an eye on things too. We had a lovely time and found a taxi right outside for our journey home.”

“We had a cocktail making class for my birthday today (30/12/23) and honesty I couldn’t say nicer things about Imogen and Pep, they were super lovely and welcoming hosts, honestly, I couldn’t have had a better birthday, they were so chatty and made us feel so comfortable, the cocktails were amazing, they even let me go behind the bar to make some cocktails which was a lovely touch!!! We ended up staying for 4 hours and ordering more drinks as the conversations were so lovely! We also stayed for a drink after purely because the company was amazing!! If you want a drink or a lovely welcoming experience go to Bar XV, you won’t be disappointed.”

“Our wedding at Confessions was perfect for us. Hannah and her staff are amazing before during and after. Beautiful historic venue with character and charm. Their was nothing to much trouble from booking to after my wedding day. It was perfect. Thankyou to the Hannah and the confessions team for making our day perfect. “The Bridge Inn is an awesome place, located near the canals, it has an amazing view. The food is Italian. Today we had the Bridge Inn special which is fantastic. Really recommend this place.”

“Lovely little restaurant located in the heart of Burton upon Trent. The staff are polite and friendly and the prices (Lunch time menu) are inexpensive for a decent dish. I have been multiple times and it's been decent throughout. My only complaint is that the chicken pieces could be a little higher in quality overall. But that wouldn't stop me from going back again.”

“I really can't speak highly enough about this pub. The man who served us ( I think he may have been the landlord) was fantastic. Personable, funny and just made us feel welcome. The food was simply amazing, wish the portions had been bigger, but maybe that's cause of how good it was. I really can't wait to go back there. Although I do wish they would do a Jägerbomb.”

“Lovely large pub, very clean and tidy. Plenty of seating indoors and outside, and plenty of drink choices. This pub is very well known for keeping great beer so is a must for any ale drinkers, they've won many awards. It does get very busy especially at weekends, but has a lovely friendly atmosphere. “Been coming to the pub for years and ever since Fiona has taken the pub over it had been booming. Great music playing with live music a lot of the time with James Bond playing on the tv which never goes amiss. So happy to see the pub thriving again it’s a great little place full of locals that will talk to anyone. Would deffo recommend!”
