    Annie’s Burger Shack

“Last night, Saturday night at Annie’s, we truly experienced what it means to receive 5 star food, service, atmosphere. Upon arrival of the establishment we were met by a funny, blonde, Viking they/them with colourful hair clips who let us in and welcomed us through the door. What was immediately striking about Lukas, was his excitement of the soundtrack that could already be heard from the booming of the speakers inside the ambient room to the side. The delicate selection of fine and delicious snacks, of many variety, satiated each of us as we entered the room. The second thing that was clear was the abundance of love and joy which was shared by all of us and those from Annie’s. It was clear only pleasure that night was to be had. As we all settled in, delicious drinks of all assortments, to name a few: a selection of wine, Coke Zero, sparkling water, beer, and a delicate cocktail made by the super cool guy with short hair. What made his offering of the cocktail even more exciting, was the fact that he was throwing the bottles in the air, doing little tricks and spins as he went, as if telling us we could all achieve such skill if we were as depth as him. Also, we loved ! His earrings! We loved Jago! In the next room over, once snacks, food, drinks - they had everything we wanted, mushrooms & broccoli. The most charming, sexy, Jewish lady we’d all ever seen showed us her table of magnificent collaging. Hannah was so so fun and helpful, we all made a chosen word poem and then let it get weird! Amazing dinner time entertainment! As if entertainment couldn’t get any better, the really hot guy who kind of took you on very long journeys of conversation, George, who seemed to be the host but then ended up being the director for the night, orchestrated a reading of his up and coming play, Celestial Trash Recycling. After that, the night became open to anyone else who wanted to share something with the group. It was cool that it was made clear that it absolutely didn’t have to be something serious, I’m pretty sure I pulled out one of my presentation slides of fun (sorry I just seem to get riled up about the Reformation and Protestant Iconoclasm at the moment). Maybe we all did a dance?? Gosh, I can’t remember! But we must of been having fun. After we had enjoyed our silliness, Imi started to DJ- which sounded so cool because I could never of imagined it sounding so good in that room! CGI baby - have you heard of them? Well they started to play! We’d all listened to some really dodgy phone recordings, but to hear it live just made it even more certain that they are one of our favourite duo’s. What made the music even cooler was that super cool fairy guy, Jago (queer?), he stared getting us to dance with was so much fun and a lot of laughs. He did an amazing set after. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for making my birthday a memorable one this year!”
