“Only just found out this place had opened in what used to be the Star of India (which I used for about 15 years). Thought I'd give it a try - we ordered 3 main dishes, all of which were absolutely delicious, and ready bang on time. I will definitely be going again, and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. “Great experience. I ordered the sofa and unfortunately there was a delay in the shipment of my item. I got an email explaining the situation and giving me options of choosing another sofa for faster delivery or waiting around 3 weeks for mine. I opted to wait and within a week I had a phone call informing me they had a shipment and would send my item out to me ASAP. The entire process took less than 2 weeks even with the delay. Communication from the company is great and they are also super easy to get hold of. I have since received communications to ensure I am happy with my product and the delivery service. Customer service is fantastic and my sofa is absolutely stunning! super easy to assemble and very comfy! Would highly recommend this company!”

“Great independent coffee place in the heart of Ossett town. The hot chocolate was chocolatey (I know it sounds daft but unfortunately not many places get it right!), delicious and was just the right amount of sweet. They have a large selection of cakes as well if required.”

“If you have not been down to this Pub yet then you need to. The owners are fantastic along with the staff. They make you feel really welcome. The food is awesome and the kids portion fills me up. They now have a pool table. Sundays are great as you can go down and have a lovely Sunday dinner and then relax and watch the free singing entertainment. Great choice of beers as well and if you just fancy something light, they do the best pizza in town, all made fresh.”

“Ordered a Too Good To Go Magic Bag for collection between 5.30pm-6pm. An hour before the allocated collection slot I received a notification telling me the collection time had been put back to between 6pm-6.15pm. A little annoying as I already had plans in place and had to shift them around to make the new collection time. I live in Huddersfield so the drive to Ossett is 25 mins. By the time I got to the pub car park I realised I had received another notification, now telling me the bag had been cancelled completely as there was no surplus food available. The cancellation notification was sent exactly 9 mins before the collection slot. I'm not angry that there was no surplus food available, just very annoyed that I made a 50 mins round trip for nothing. Why could you not have cancelled the order with more notice because 9 mins is really not enough? Other reviews suggest the food here is excellent and Dan is a nice chap (hence why I came from further away to get a Magic Bag to try) so I am not going to tarnish his record by leaving a low star review. But please Dan, if you read this, could you at least consider giving more notice when you cancel the Too Good To Go Magic Bags. I've been buying bags on Too Good to Go for a while now from various businesses, and only other has cancelled my order - but they gave 4 hour's notice not 9 mins.”

“Best pub in town! great for old and young people. Really well kept pool table and a lovely homely feel as everyone’s very friendly and warming. Also has a nice little beer garden that’s brilliant for the summer. Great prices and a good location with easy accessible parking and lovely friendly staff. Me and my friends love it here and don’t mind the travel as we live on the other side of town but it’s well worth it! Brilliant pub. :)”

“Just moved to Ossett so this was our first time going to Gandhi Spice, it did not disappoint. Food was spot on. I asked Ali the owner what he would recommend and told me about a few of the dishes he thought I would like as I don't like it spicy, I ended up with the Lamb Handi and it was so flavoursome. Kahim, sorry if I've spelt that wrong was such a lovely waiter, so polite and attentive. Bounus is that they sell alcohol. Highly recommend this restaurant.”
