“I had my surgery for a total left hip replacement at west Middlesex hospital on the 5th August 2020. Arjuna was my surgeon and looked after me with his team from day 1. I was the first day surgery case patient for a total hip replacement at the hospital (which is exploring new ways of working given the Covid environment backdrop). My personal experience with the team at west Middlesex has been fantastic and I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a great unit and indeed a great surgeon / consultant for surgery. The initial consultation for sign off for surgery, the pre - operative assessment and talking through the surgery procedure were all carried out with a high level of due care and clinical excellence. I felt as a patient that the over riding priority was achieving a great clinical outcome for me and my surgery. The day of the surgery was very well co ordinated and went smoothly. Admission was straightforward, I was administered local Anaesthetic and the surgery took around 2 hours. I arrived at 7.30am and was discharged around 7pm the same day. Just brilliant. Since discharge I have been in constant contact with Arjuna and the team and the physio unit. I have also had two follow up appointments where Arjuna has held office himself directly. I am now nearly 7 weeks post surgery and progressing well and will be back to see In 3 months time for an assessment and x ray on the new joint. Thank you to Arjuna and the whole west Middlesex team for their care and passion. They have cleverly demonstrated the high value of keeping these important services local. “I recently had a hair transplant procedure with Dr. Dilan Fernando and his team, and from start to finish the entire experience was exceptional. Although I am still early in my recovery, and the final cosmetic result will take time to fully develop, I can already say that the level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail was outstanding. Consultation and Planning From the first consultation, Dr. Dilan Fernando was informative, reassuring, and meticulous. He took the time to study my facial proportions, my long term goals, and the overall donor strategy. His approach was honest, realistic, and focused on natural results that will age well. The hairline design was especially impressive. He created a hairline that suits my face perfectly and looks completely natural. Even immediately after the procedure, I was genuinely delighted with how it looked. Surgical Experience The procedure itself went extremely smoothly. Every member of the team played their part perfectly, and the entire process ran like a smooth and well coordinated machine. I felt comfortable from the moment I arrived, and the atmosphere in the treatment room was calm, reassuring, and completely organised. The procedure lasted from 0800 to 1500, and at no stage did I feel rushed. Dr. Fernando personally oversaw everything and was involved throughout the entire procedure, and the graft handling, the implantation technique, and the donor area management were all carried out with real precision. I received 1,705 grafts. This included a combination of multi hair grafts and a large number of singular grafts for the front of my hairline. Some of these single grafts were carefully split from two, three and four hair grafts extracted by one of the technicians, which shows the level of detail and effort that went into creating a soft and natural looking hairline. Team and Aftercare Every nurse and technician I interacted with was warm, skilled, and genuinely invested in my comfort. The aftercare instructions were clear, simple, and easy to follow. Any questions I had were answered quickly and professionally. Everything, from communication to cleanliness to patient comfort, was handled to a very high standard. Overall Impression Even though I am still at the beginning of my recovery, I am already extremely happy with the hairline design and the entire experience. Dr. Dilan Fernando and his team delivered a level of care that exceeded my expectations in every way.
