Located on the High Road, this charming spot has been a local favorite since 1985, and it’s clear why. The vibe is warm, inviting, and effortlessly stylish, blending cozy and upscale perfectly – great for a relaxed midday meal. The menu is packed with options, from hearty sandwiches to fresh salads and comforting classics. I went for the Chicken Escalope sandwich, and it was on point – tender, perfectly cooked chicken in a soft granary roll with crisp lettuce, cucumber, and a zesty lemon mayo that made every bite pop. My buddy chose the lasagna, served piping hot with golden fries and a fresh side salad – classic comfort food done right. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with generous portions and bold flavors. The staff were a real highlight – super friendly, attentive, and full of warmth. Joseph, in particular, stood out, greeting us with a genuine smile and keeping everything running smoothly, even as the place hummed with lunchtime diners. “Barista with black glasses is fantastic - he was seamelessly sorting out a queue of 10+ different drinks as well as checking the toaster and minding the counter all by himself, as everyone else had disappeared. I even saw him changing toilet paper once the queue was served!! I seriously hope he is appreciated as he seems to be running the place ....”
