“It is common knowledge that NHS is on its knees and that an average waiting time for an appointment is couple of weeks. That's why I ended up trying to deal with an insect bite turning nasty at home and kept dismissing family suggestions to get medical attention. Finally on a late afternoon on 28/08/25 I called surgery thinking this was going to be a waste of time. Well, it was amazing experience. Lovely and attentive lady receptionist listened and acted with due care. She directed me to another surgery, booked my appointment, send me location. I was seen by a doctor one hour later, got my prescription, was told where to go to get meds at that late hour. Everyone - reception team at Park Way surgery, reception team at Farley Road surgery, doctor at Farley Road surgery - were amazing. And that's not a word I use often in same sentence as "NHS", sadly. I called next day to thank the reception team. I understand the constraints but I can't help to be impressed by my experience.”

“I recently bought travel insurance from Allianz - a one-year multi-trip policy. I had questions about the documentation, and, despite getting one answer the next day by email, I took a chance and went to their Croydon office (near me) in the hope of getting other questions and clarifications resolved in person, by a human being. Ten minutes after turning up unannounced, Hamiyd Saleem met me at reception, where I'd had a free coffee, and proceeded to resolve all my questions within about 20 minutes. He explained things, printed and emailed updates to my policy, and voluntarily gave me a 30% discount on the premium to compensate me for my inconvenience. Unbelievably good customer service. Mind you; I buy insurance and never claim so maybe my experience may change if I ever do. But so far so impressive. Recommended.”

“This review is specifically for Dr Shazia Khan and the reception/admin staff. Dr Khan takes time to listen patiently and explain in a way that a patient understands their problem without feeling judged and dismissed. We all know that doctors have short appointments (10 mins only per patient) so they are very busy throughout the day and they are doing their best to see all patients on time, and like any other human beings they get tired. But when you get a kind and sympathetic doctor like Shazia Khan, at the end of consultation it feels like your problem has been solved rather than feeling guilty for calling the doctor. The reception and admin staff are very helpful as well.”
