“Visited for the Japanese cheesecake initially and to introduce a friend to this place as they are more local than me. Loved the selection of hot/cold drinks. Sat in even shared a table with other visitors which I thought was so nice and brought back the good times where people actually converse! Carrot cake was divine it was moist and tasty. Was there so long sat to near closing time! The basement has a really nice ambience to it aswell I'd come back again.”
“Due to an error, our food was delayed and we were given a full refund plus free drinks and a croissant. The staff were very upset about the error and bent over backwards to compensate us. I will definitely visit again.”
“Great staff, friendly and experienced. Top notch food and coffee. Best place for a quick bite in Croydon breakfast or lunch!”
“Friendliest and most caring lady working there. Let me sit down and have tap water without buying anything, very genuine and compassionate. When I returned later it was wonderful, had a lovely flat white and just read. Family atmosphere without being too loud. Small and quaint, not impersonal and is very welcoming”
“A pleasant coffee stop along the parade of shops in Limpsfield Road. It is bright and spacious inside, and service was friendly and efficient. The wi-fi wasn't working when I went so they couldn't take card payments.”
“It was busy but girls at the reception were so efficient and fast to serve so we don’t had to wait longer. Coffee was great as all the Costa points. Cookies I didn’t like so much but overall good experience. Highly recommended”
“Atmosphere was electric when my ham and cheese toastie was cut the crowd went wild had a great time if i had to pick between England winning the euros or watching the lady cut my sandwich in the 90th minute I know what one I'm picking outstanding effort”
“Visited this Starbucks outlet more than 300 times in the past 3 years. My son's favourite. Highly recommended.”
“Was in Croydon for the day, googled for a work friendly cafe and found this gem. Great atmosphere but even better service and friendly staff, the jacket potato packed way more than I bargained for, for £5 for a chilli con-carne and cheese and £2.30 for an Americano. If you’re in the area and need to work make sure to get down here, it’s perfect.”
“Coffee and bacon bap are amazing. I get at least 3 times a week. Great”
“Lovely staff doing their absolute best! Been multiple times and seen the abuse the staff receive from entitled customers, ignore the 1 star reviews of this place it's just rude people crying because they didn't get their way (stores have rules and policies people!!). Keep up the great work and I will continue to enjoy your high quality coffee and excellent service and personalities!”
“My new favourite spot. Service 10/10. Food 10/10. Huge portions, fully customisable. If you’re looking for some good food then get down to Elly’s!! Such a homely atmosphere.”
“Amazing cafe, amazing quality food best coffee and loveliest staff, honestly we drive past maybe 10 cafes to use this one, well worth the extra drive! And definitely try the home made baking, you won’t be disappointed”
“I've had some good breakfasts but this was spectacular. A proper plateful.”
“Went out to do some work on essays for my degree. Café Davinci was great, I not only had space to listen to a lecture, bit also enjoyed a toasted ciabatta, Portuguese tart, slice of cake and copious amounts of tea! (All reasonably priced!)”
“I visit this Cafe Nero often and Alex in particular is always attentive and makes the best coffee he is always super focused when you walk in. Today, I walked in after a long day and got a coffee and a cornflake tart even though he wasn’t the one serving me he let me know that it had alcohol in and the other sweet treat didn’t. He is also very calm and patient when i am indecisive some days which he does not have to be! This level of attentiveness is very rare I really appreciate it. Thanks !”
“I’ve been to this branch of Starbucks a couple of times recently and it’s been great. My friend is disabled, so parking is very convenient as there are Blue Badge parking spaces directly outside. Access is easy too. The staff are all friendly and you don’t feel rushed, even when it’s near closing time. One outstanding member of staff we encountered was Elaine, the manager, who is incredibly friendly, warm and kind. She was extremely considerate and helpful towards my friend, who needed to access the toilet. Elaine made sure she could navigate her way to the toilet safely and that there were no obstructions in her way. On our way out, just as the shop was closing, Elaine cheerfully called out to say goodbye, which was a lovely touch. It’s warm, friendly and helpful staff members like Elaine who contribute to a positive experience when visiting a coffee shop. Thank you Elaine. You’re an asset to Starbucks. Update: When I first encountered Elaine, I mistakenly thought she was the cleaner as she was mopping the floor. On my next visit she told me that she was actually the manager and had found my post hugely amusing. This just shows what a wonderful sense of humour Elaine has! It also shows how the manager is prepared to do any task that is required.”
“This Starbucks is amazing! The staff are so awesome and friendly. Special shoutout to all the team including ; Jake, Reis, Maryam, Priya, Prince, and Farzin. Keep up the good work!”
