“Amazing Staff. Few weeks ago, I entered in the coffee shop few minutes before the closing time, I been very welcome by the staff (2ladies). The barista tooks time to describe me each coffee. Very well trained and knowledgeable, I never been so impressed by such a great service in any other coffee shop. Bravo and thanks for the delicious Oat Flat white.”

    Costa Coffee

“Popped into Costa in Cheam around 1 PM on a Monday, thinking I’d enjoy a peaceful coffee break. Joke’s on me — the place was buzzing like it was Black Friday at a coffee convention. Every table was kidnapped by caffeine enthusiasts, so I surrendered to fate and ordered a cappuccino to-go. Now, here’s the plot twist: despite being a foreigner with "I’m clearly not from around here" vibes, the staff treated me like I was the Queen’s long-lost cousin. Super friendly, lightning-fast service, and a cappuccino so good it made me momentarily forget I was standing awkwardly next to a recycling bin. Five stars — would definitely brave the crowd again for that kind of hospitality (and caffeine)!”

    Esquires Coffee

    ★★★☆☆ 3.6
    Open

“Been going to Esquires since November 2021 and since last May it has become one of my regular places to sit, eat and enjoy coffee with my daughter. I always go there if meeting friends also. The staff have always been friendly towards us as if they didn't I wouldn't keep going there. No complaints from friends of mine who also visited there. It is a place where I can go, feel relaxed and I understand the pressure they get when in their busy times. They do not have much time to communicate and get tired/stressed easily especially due to lack of staff at the moment.”

    Freedom Caffe' Tearoom

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Open

“I've only ever driven through Cheam before my visit yesterday, a trip by public transport (tram and train) from Croydon specifically to visit the Whitehall museum, housed in a grade II* listed former domestic dwelling dating from before the reign of Henry VIII. While the museum is an important place of reference for local history, geared more towards children than adults, it also houses the excellent Freedom Caffe' tearoom. The restrictions imposed by such an old, historic house may mean they can't use a normal commercial coffee machine but the range of soft drinks is impressive and more importantly, the vegan options for lunch are delicious. I highly recommend both the vegan sausage roll with salad and the vegan Greek. Then there are the cakes... The only vegan option on the day was a chocolate pear and apple cake but it was gorgeous and the staff were attentive and friendly and the food reasonably priced. I also noted the fresh pasta preparation. There's more to Cheam than the museum but whatever else you're doing it's well worth making sure you visit the Freedom Caffe' for a drink and a bite to eat.”

“Wonderful coffee and so reasonably priced! Lovely owners who need our support as small business owners! Spend your money here, not on the big corporates in the high street! You can sit outside under cover and look out at all the lovely trees and water fountain - it's absolutely lovely or be nice and cosy inside!”
