“I came into this florist on a friend’s recommendation I’ve been in twice now, and each time the staff have been incredibly helpful and welcoming. They really take the time to listen to what you want and make thoughtful suggestions without being pushy. On my last visit, they were working on a large order, and I was genuinely impressed by how stunning it looked—beautifully arranged and clearly made with care. You can tell they take real pride in their work. Their prices are also very reasonable, especially considering the level of service and attention to detail you receive. That’s why I’ve chosen to trust them with something very special—they’ll be creating the garlands for my son’s wedding. I’m confident they’ll do an amazing job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful flowers and fantastic service! I will update the review and add photos once I receive my garlands”

“We went on Wednesday evening, we were greeted with a smile and showed to our table. The staff were extremely friendly and polite, and guide you with the menu. The setting is very nice and parking is easy to find. The food was quite tasty. We got the Calamari, Wings and the Prawn Tempura for starters. For the mains we got the lamb chops, wagyu surf and turf, wagyu sirloin and the wagyu t-bone steak.. and we enjoyed our food. Would I go back there again? YES! Our steaks were amazing and full of flavour,the customer service was amazing, and the overall experience was very personal. So yes, gets a 5 outta 5. Good hidden gem.”

“I have been meaning to write this review for some time. When I was traveling to my grandmother's funeral, I stopped to pick up a card. I had already been to a florist in Debden & Loughton. Both told me that cards come free with flowers, but as I hadn't purchased from them, I could not have a card, & I couldn't buy one either. The florist at The Flower Shop gave me a card, and did not charge me. They really helped me in my hour of need! I wish you all the very best for the future, and would strongly encourage anyone to use this kind florist! Kindest regards!”

“This pub always used to be my local but was looking old and tired. They’ve recently had a refurb and honestly it looks great. Service is good, food is tasty and it’s one of the few proper pubs left. Will definitely be my local again. Highly recommend it!”

“Good local Chinese restaurants are on the wane so thank the stars for Mandarin Palace. The food is delicious and the portions are very generous indeed. The service is prompt and courteous. There is parking apparently round the back. The toilets are clean but in need of refurbishment. Celebrating 50 years so 15 per cent off (dining only) up to 31 July 2024! Expensive but worth it. We went to celebrate my daughters 18th. The portions are HUGE so if ordering set menu perhaps order for one less person.”

“Superlative Ambience atmosphere qnd Genuine Aromatic Thai Food. Everything is 100% tasty and Halal. Service is excellent and Noodles are just right. Prawn need careful cooking not to get chewy and chef was careful. And succulent beef was wow. Amazing. Full Marks.”

“Very impressed! Came with friends, we were not sure where to go that evening midweek, booked a table. The place was pretty empty on a Tuesday evening so we wondered how the food would be. However, the food was amazing. Lovely menu, not the usual boring Indian dishes. Fancy names for everything including drinks! It’s a fine dining place after all. We ordered a different starters that were spicy and nice on the taste palette. Main dishes were very delicious too and we were too full otherwise would have tried desserts too. It is well decorated and you can take loads of instagrammable photos there! I definitely recommend this place, whether for a date or just to have a night out with friends!”

“We just celebrated my son's 18th Bday here. We been living in this neighbourhood for over a decade and we never visited the pub as it had a bad reputation but since new management took over and the pub been refurbished it looks truly amazing. Great food menu. Great affordable variety of drinks. The service is impeccable and very friendly staff. My husband is a wheelchair user, the pub has wheelchair access but you got to put the foldable ramp down yourself what didn't bother us as we do that daily at home anyway. Overall a 5* pub very clean and tidy... And they do karaoke on Thursdays aswell. A place I highly recommend.”
