“Our visit to the Bear for a meal was brilliant. We went to the cinema before, and because I knew we’d be arriving late on a Sunday (3:45) I specified what roast we’d like just incase they were running low. Anyway, the team did a great job holding our food back for us as requested as they did run out. It was delicious! Lovely cosy calm atmosphere too (and my Irish boyfriend loved his Guinness).”

“My wife, my son and I visited The Wheatsheaf to celebrate my wife’s birthday.The food and service were excellent. I had turkey and the amount of meat was a lot more than I expected. I would also recommend the Camembert sharing plate which we had as a starter. It was a little loud for my taste but it was pre-Christmas and there was a large group near us that were celebrating a little loudly. Amount spent below includes drinks and gratuity.”

“The lovely pub hosted our daughter's 40th Birthday party in the side room off the main bar. We were able to decorate the room and also to have a local guitarist entertain us together with a fab face painter. Our party was able to order yummy food and drinks from the bar. “Debbie provided us with a delicious afternoon tea following a family funeral. Everything was freshly made and delivered perfectly on time. Our guests had nothing but praise for the food, including a great selection of sandwiches, canapes, including mini quiches and vol-au-vents, cakes, scones and fresh fruit tarts.
