“Came for Valentine's Day and had a lovely experience. The restaurant has such a family feel, the manager would greet everyone as old friends, and I really hope as they gain popularity they don't lose that personal touch. While it was busy, it wasn't overcrowded despite being Valentine's Day. The service was brilliant, everyone was very attentive, and the set menu was absolutely delicious. We particularly enjoyed the meze dips, the arancini, and the chicken shish. The cocktails were also fantastic. We had a slight confusion with a cocktail voucher, but the manager happily honoured the misunderstanding without question, which was very professional and kind of him. Would highly recommend.”

“I've only ever driven through Cheam before my visit yesterday, a trip by public transport (tram and train) from Croydon specifically to visit the Whitehall museum, housed in a grade II* listed former domestic dwelling dating from before the reign of Henry VIII. While the museum is an important place of reference for local history, geared more towards children than adults, it also houses the excellent Freedom Caffe' tearoom. The restrictions imposed by such an old, historic house may mean they can't use a normal commercial coffee machine but the range of soft drinks is impressive and more importantly, the vegan options for lunch are delicious. I highly recommend both the vegan sausage roll with salad and the vegan Greek. Then there are the cakes... The only vegan option on the day was a chocolate pear and apple cake but it was gorgeous and the staff were attentive and friendly and the food reasonably priced. I also noted the fresh pasta preparation. There's more to Cheam than the museum but whatever else you're doing it's well worth making sure you visit the Freedom Caffe' for a drink and a bite to eat.”

“I had such a wonderful experience at Time Art Cafe! The ambiance was absolutely beautiful, with art pieces that create an inviting atmosphere. “Fab coffee and amazing cakes! I visited this coffee shop the first time a few weeks back and they gave me some free cakes. These weren’t just any cakes, one was a cinnamon cake/muffin and omg, it was amazing. I went back a couple of times in the preceding weeks but they had sold out of these amazing cakes. I needed to get there earlier. The staff here are also super friendly. Update: September 2023 - I still visit this coffee shop every week or so and I think it might be in my top few coffee shops. The coffee is still excellent and I love stopping by.”

“Make a detour from the M4 to London to visit this lovely coffee shop. Great coffee and service. Also v dog friendly. Haven’t tried any of the pies but they all look delicious. Such a great little place and so much nicer than stopping at Reading services or Heston. “Absolutely delicious food. Highly recommend the charcoal grilled meats. You will not be disappointment. We had the grilled lamb main and chicken wings this time and the meat was tender and juicy. Will try the other ones next time. Also loved the smoked aubergine purée dip as well. Honestly all the food dishes were great and the portion size are good too. All the food we tried were great but sadly I forgot to take photos of them as was too focus on eating. We tried their house wines and they weren’t bad neither. This is now our new favourite local place to eat and will definitely add this place to our rotation!”
