    Adam of London

    ★★★★★ 4.9

“I've been craving a new suit from Adam of London since my last visit several years ago. Made it into the shop on a Friday afternoon to be greeted by the man himself. I explained what I was looking for, he found my size, helped me try it on and pinned it for alterations by my local tailor as his tailor was on vacation. Even after I was set on a particular suit, he had me try on another couple of jackets to make sure we had selected the proper cut. This to me is a mark of impeccable professionalism. He could have simply let me pick it out, pay and walk out the door. But he chose to go a step above, and it says everything about the man. He's a very interesting fellow, with some great stories to tell and a great sense of humor. I really didn't "need" another suit, but I have no regrets about selecting from Adam.”

“The sweetest designs for kids but more importantly the most lovely store owner. Prices are incredibly reasonable. I spotted it while walking down the street and was brought in thinking it was going to be incredibly expensive because of the wait and thought everything was so well priced. The owner and maker Toene makes me want to move to London. I hope she is so proud of what she has made!”

“Lovely vintage shop based in the "market" section of the bussey building. The owner Corvina has a great eye, with a wide range of vintage homeware items from furniture to paintings, glassware and decor. Pricing is reasonable, and she is very helpful without being pushy. I found a beautiful oil painting with a warm mid-century palette there. Literally everyone comments on it when they come to visit. It's usually on my list for a last minute gift when I'm short on time. Definitely pop in for a browse if you're in the area.”

“Chantal was excellent at my son's 6th birthday party. She kept all the kids engaged for 1.5 hours, which is no mean feat! Her games, arts and crafts etc. were on point with the age group and all the kids and even parents are raving about her days after the party. You can tell she likes what she is doing and is very fun and kind with the kids. Highly recommend! X”

    Into Interiors Ltd

“Into interiors (Sam and Jake) brought our dreams to life! They were so helpful throughout the process and understanding of our budget. At every turn we were given a multitude of options and it seemed as though everything just fell nicely into place. Thanks to them we have the kitchen of our dreams and we couldn't be happier that we found them. The quality of the kitchen units is excellent and the quartz worktops were such good value for the quality and pattern. They offered us a look at the products before we chose and it felt as though they were always available if we needed advice or to sort something quickly. Furthermore, being local they would pop around to see how things were going and any small issues were quickly sorted. We even changed the design part way through... adding a couple more units. This too was sorted quickly and did not cause any delays. I can only see their business going from strength to strength. We would fully recommend them.”

“Had a fantastic time learning how to make a leather satchel bag with Natasha! Over the two days I learnt the basics on pattern cutting, how to choose your leather, sewing (machine and by hand) and constructing my bag, from reinforcing, to burnishing etc. On top of that, Natasha was very knowledgeable and great company throughout and I walked out with a beautiful personalised bag! Would highly recommend (also makes for a great gift experience)”

    Impera Italia

    ★★★★★ 4.9
    Closed

“Just finished using Gimcyn Moonstone from Impera Italia, and I’m in love with the result! The finish is incredible with a subtle, elegant shimmer that changes beautifully with the light. It added a luxurious, modern feel to the room without being overpowering. Truly stunning—would highly recommend for anyone looking to elevate their space! I used a standard paintbrush in a criss-cross motion, you can leave it as is if you like the textured look of the brush strokes—it actually creates a nice effect, but after finishing a small section, I waited about 14–15 minutes, then followed Impera Italia’s recommendation and went in with the sponge (also sold by them) for the final finish. Quick tip: Don’t wait too long before using the sponge—if the paint dries too much, it won’t work properly. But also, don’t go in too soon, or the sponge might lift the paint off. The key is to let it set just enough. Test a small area first to make sure the timing is right. Pictures don't do it justice.”

“I had the pleasure of getting my first tattoo done by Carter, and I couldn't be happier with the experience and the outcome. Carter's patience, expertise, and dedication to his craft were evident from start to finish. He took my idea and, using his vast knowledge and experience, elevated it to a level beyond my expectations. The attention to detail in the final piece is truly astounding. I am over the moon with how it turned out and cannot recommend Carter highly enough.”
