“I cannot understand the negative reviews - I had a puncture and called for roadside assistance. The van came along and the friendly driver tried to repair but couldn't and the hole was too large. He took it back to the workshop at 9pm and then it was ready with a new tyre fitted by midday next day. On top of this they also advised me on various other minor faults, pro-actively suggested i needed an oil top-up and advised me to go to my regular repair shop to check other aspects of the last service I had done. Very friendly and professional service throughout and the pricing was reasonable and transparent. I'm not sure what else you would want from a repair shop. Top class job guys. Cheers”

“I have been going to moss for some years now, for my MOT, and any car related issues and he always does a great job at a fantastic price, I trust him wholeheartedly and never go to anyone else! To see that people think he is scamming them in the other reviews is actually laughable and quite frankly sad, as it couldn’t be further from the truth! It seems like people can’t tolerate when they have to pay for their faulty cars. Mechanics many of them are known to take advantage, especially women as we tend to know nothing about cars, I have had my fair share of scams related to cars and when I found this small family owned business who finally does what they say I’ve never looked back! “I collected 2 reconditioned twin port cylinder heads from The Engine Shop 3 weeks ago (Oct 2017) They were packed and ready. However it turned out that my engine needed a lot more reconditioning then was first thought .A complete engine exchange was required My ever reliable garage sourced and fitted it for me. As the heads were already in place l had no use for heads l had purchased from The Engine Shop. Although l grant you that Jim is not a"people" person there was absolutely no quibble about a full refund. The company does all it's reconditioning on site and while l was in Jim's office l noticed paperwork from the well known parts suppliers we all know obviously using The Engine Shop as suppliers. I suggest that all the dissenters should take note of my experience.”

“Misfulled my car early this morning coming from my night shift. Realised later that I put diesel in my petrol car and drove home about half a mile. Googled quickly in the net and find fuel doctor Richard. He came on time around 9:30am and quickly pump out the diesel. Check the engine and about 30 to 40mins the car is fixed and engine sound well again. Definitely recomemded.”
