“Amazing food for amazing prices with amazing staff. The ambience of the restaurant is really calming and comfortable, everyone is friendly and making sure you feel welcome. The portions are really generous and you really get your money's worth if not even more. For starters we had the Papaya Salad (awesome, but quite hot), as well as the Chicken Salad (perfect). For the mains we chose the Pad Makahm duck (this was the best duck both of us ever had!!) and the Chi Mussaman Curry (very delicious). The 20min car journey to get there was definitely worth it and I will go again!”

“As The Local has starting doing fresh food, we had done a catering order for a small gathering. The samosas, batatavada and khaman were really good. The flavours were like home made and the portions sizes were good. They also accommodate for the dietary requirements and manage to make food and delivery early on Sunday morning. “I had my Baby Shower here. There were 11 of us in total and we all had afternoon tea which consisted of four delicious courses and unlimited teas, coffees, hot chocolates and water. The food was so good and the service was outstanding. Sharon was so accommodating and friendly and no request was too big. The staff went to the trouble of decorating the chairs for us too! It was a really lovely afternoon full of laughter, yummy food and excellent service and I cannot fault it at all! “My mother & father have lived around the corner from The Albany for over 20 years but hadn’t been inside due to less than favourable reputation. WHAT A MISTAKE!! When my father passed away a few weeks ago we decided to book the Albany for my father’s wake & from start to finish they were absolutely fantastic! Their kindness towards my mother was lovely, their professionalism was top notch and the food was outstanding the chef could not do enough for us everything was made fresh to order to suit individual requirements.
