“Had lunch here today. Good choice of many options on the menu, including full English breakfast (served until 3pm) burgers, steaks, sandwiches, soup, etc. Chose Ham eggs and chips, with a side of mushrooms. Good food, freshly cooked and served quickly. Staff friendly and very polite. Highly recommended.”

“Had the festive menu and the food took a little longer than expected but Charlee was fab at updating us and ensuring we were comfortable and if we needed anything else. We were sat in the conservatory which was cold and the food took longer than necessary but the food was adequate. Made better only by the millionaires fodue dessert.”

“Nothing pretentious about the place. Lots of different choices with great breakfasts and great portion sizes. Service is always polite and fast with good prices. Good place for fast and honest food.”

“We came on a busy Saturday leading up to xmas for my Nans birthday. Travelling 2 hours away we allowed for time but the M25 was standstill. Called the restaurant on route and explained and they were fabulous. Got to the restaurant 30 mins late and they got us straight in and seated. Food was great, service was great, environment was light considering how busy it was. Only negative is that it wouldve been nice for some festive background music in the environment but not essential. My Nan loved it and will bring her back again. Thank you Team.”

“Pleasantly surprised by this backstreet suburban bar. Good selection of drinks including some great cask ales, atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff were very cheery and friendly. I will be visiting again, great job!”

“I had my Baby Shower here. There were 11 of us in total and we all had afternoon tea which consisted of four delicious courses and unlimited teas, coffees, hot chocolates and water. The food was so good and the service was outstanding. Sharon was so accommodating and friendly and no request was too big. The staff went to the trouble of decorating the chairs for us too! It was a really lovely afternoon full of laughter, yummy food and excellent service and I cannot fault it at all! Highly recommend to everyone wanting a quaint, friendly and intimate setting that serve delicious food and go above and beyond.”

“My mother & father have lived around the corner from The Albany for over 20 years but hadn’t been inside due to less than favourable reputation. WHAT A MISTAKE!! When my father passed away a few weeks ago we decided to book the Albany for my father’s wake & from start to finish they were absolutely fantastic! Their kindness towards my mother was lovely, their professionalism was top notch and the food was outstanding the chef could not do enough for us everything was made fresh to order to suit individual requirements. I would like to thank the Albany on behalf of my father & we will be regular visitors from now on (I can’t wait to taste more of the chef’s delicious food 10/10 xx”

“Family Christmas meal for 9. Was a bit apprehensive at first. We had a brilliant time. The food was lovely. The staff and manager. Wow I take my hat off to them. The place was packed but they did a great job. The singer was very good but as we were near had a bit of trouble talking. Would definitely recommend this pub.”

“This pub is fantastic. Music Friday Saturday Sunday. All staff and landlady friendly. Due to recent reviews there are a few horrible reviews from a sour ex partner that is an alcoholic and was caught drink drinking 5 times over the limit. Please ignore them as these are being handled in the appropriate manner. Please come see for yourself, before putting this pub at the bottom of your list. Landlady is professional, helpful and very friendly”

“I didnt eat here so cannot comment. Entry is from a side door, which is a bit sketchy. Ive been here twice now and been served by three different servers and all of them have been friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Real ale from the mighty Oak Maldon on tap was good and well looked after.”

They say when the rice is nice and fresh then everything else is also, eager to try their stewed chicken next! Only grabbed the jollof quickly as I needed to get to work after, but definitely will be coming back!”
