“Mitcham Market is a large, open market in the London Borough of Merton. It is open every day, and is home for stalls selling a wide variety of goods, including fresh produce, meat, fish, cheese, flowers, clothes, and household goods. The market is also home to a number of cafes and restaurants, making it a popular destination for both locals and visitors. The market has a long history, dating back to the 12th century. It was originally located in the town square, but was moved to its current location in the 19th century. The market has undergone a number of renovations over the years, but it has always retained its traditional character.”

“best Greek food ever had, accessible prices and friendly staff. I would have loved to give you guys a better picture but I started eating right away. Tasos is the best!”
“Wonderful restaurant, beautifully designed although smaller than expected. It was fully booked on a random Wednesday so I think soon they’ll need a bigger restaurant or another restaurant because it is a hit and so you need to book in advance. The food is incredible, the carabinero prawns were so flavoursome and juicy, the meat platter was amazing, serves at least 4 so I think very good value. Even chips were really nice and crispy, Seabass was fresh, everything was delicious with really good portion sizes. I will certainly be returning.”
“What a wonderful hidden gem in Tooting! The menu was delightful, the food was delicious (and very well-priced) and it was nice and cozy. We felt like we’d stumbled on the best kept secret of restaurants in London. We can’t wait to go back! Loved it.”
“Superb Guinness. Choice of standard or cold serve. Tough competition for the Bricklayers Arms in Putney! Cash only! Toasties on offer, plus free WiFi. Honourable mentions - Tayto, folk music on Sundays, great decor, ambient lighting”
“This Kurdish food place is a gem. The fresh and incredibly tasty food makes it stand out. It feels like a family-run establishment, and the service is delightful. Moreover, it offers great value for money. For those seeking a hangover cure on a Sunday morning, this is the perfect spot.”
“It's a really nice local place that has lots of interesting dishes to try. I like their hakka-style pork belly and Chinese tea, which is offered at a friendly price. The service is kind and friendly.”
“Great old style tunes. The community vibe this place had was something I’ve not seen before. They catered to all there customers with a smile. They even new most of there names. Very good service, quick and good value for money. Reviewed from a full English breakfast connoisseur! I will be back!”
“Absolute delight! Husband and I dined at Daddy Bao in Tooting on Sunday evening and we could not have a better experience. The restaurant is cozy and has a friendly atmosphere. The team is welcoming and super knowledgeable about the dishes. The food is flavoursome and definitely quench your hunger. Great value for money. We had the Christmas set menu (dumplings and baos with a twist) and supplemented with some more small plates (so much food) and had drinks and dessert for £96 with service charge (that is well deserved). We will surely return to try more dishes!”
“Pretty much the best delivery Chinese I’ve found. Everything else I’ve tried has been absolutely terrible. This does taste like it’s come from a restaurant. Takes awhile worth the weight.”
“I really love this place. Amazing array of Turkish and middle eastern foods and spices. The fruit and vegetables selection, always seasonal is quite superb. Well priced. The best bit is the hospitality and help from the staff who own and run this place, so friendly and you just want them to succeed.”
“We have had takeaway from here twice this weekend. Absolutely delicious food. Recommend 100% Thanks from James & Helena. The lady serving is such a lovely person and very helpful.”
“Great pub with excellent range. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The lady who runs the pub is an exceptional host, who makes everyone feel very welcome and at home. Food is excellent - the roasts especially. The roasts are flavoursome, well seasoned, plentiful and excellent value for money. I can't recommend enough. Prawn cocktail was also gorgeous. Dog friendly too.”
“A restaurant I want to gatekeep out of selfishness. Every time I have ordered the food has consistently tasted like it’s been made with love. Even though I didn’t grow up eating this kind of cuisine, it tastes nostalgic and I can’t get enough!”
