“A fantastic little pub in the idyllic village of Eynsford. A smallish outdoor area to the right as you approach and a large area to the rear. Inside the pub is split in two along the lines of what I would think would have been the bar and the lounge. The guvnor was wonderful but took his beers very seriously- kept constant eye contact when he asked what we thought of his beers and listened intently to our answers. The inside was lovely and not overdone like many country inns trying to capture the history of the land. The Guinness was absolutely spot on as was the Harvey's Sussex Best and the Landlord. I think I might go back”

“Top quality barbers. These guys know how to cut hair, they do it with a passion, unrushed no matter how many are waiting (it's always very popular which says a lot!). Very reasonable price (£14 for cut and wash, razor round neck the lot). Never faulted. Highly recommended. I'm not going anywhere else!”

“Just visited this cafe, funny that I loved in Crayford for 20 years and never been here..Nice friendly service from the waitress, and the food, although I think they forgot about us arrived piping hot and was super tasty. We went for the large £14 breakfast which came with 2 toast each and a tea. We both vowed to next time we meet up go back there.”

TexMex (Texas Mexican) food might be alien to many in the UK but the sheer variety of the menu will allow you to discover something that suits you dietary preferences and your pocket. As ever the journey of a brand across the Atlantic brings upgrades in the level of service but this is not reflected in the prices that are very affordable.”

“Very clean, spacious accommodation with parking directly in front of the small hotel. I booked it for my visiting family and we were very happy. The double aspect room for two contained a king size and single bed with TV and small fridge, etc. The room was heated before our arrival to a cosy temperature for winter. Enough room for luggage. Lovely high ceilings with crisp white walls and bedding. The hotel is connected to an Indian Restaurant, but the rooms did not smell of spices at all, in case you were concerned. Flexible booking in and out. Friendly staff. We will definitely use this hotel again.”
