“I booked tickets for Potted Panto knowing little to nothing about the show and venue. Thought the show was excellent. Really enjoyable and the best I’ve seen at being both family friendly, silly and still genuinely making adults laugh out loud. So quick witted and very funny - yet still feeling wholesome and very endearing. There was a lot of love on that stage. Well done the the actors! The venue is also a joy. All the team were friendly and helpful - particularly with one of our party who is a wheelchair user. Mulled wine measures very generous and reasonably priced. Great location. We all left feeling very festive. I cannot wait for an excuse to return.”

“Shoreditch Treehouse is an incredibly agile space that would be suitable for a multitude of events. I have primarily used the space for corporate hire and would absolutely recommend this as a venue. The facilities are great and the team are wonderfully attentive. This is not your average meeting space but works brilliantly in this capacity, it’s light, airy and has everything one would need for a successful offsite.”

“Went to see Phantom of the Opera today, it was amazing, good friendly staff, easy to talk to, amazing work. The singing was phenomenal and despite the phantom being the sympathetic villain of the story you know everyone loves him the most. Excellent use of the stage for the scenes and parts of humor ugh I just can't tell you how much better it is to go see it in person, and the pyrotechnic moment was so cool, you could feel the heat from the second balcony up, the royal circle.”

“Absolutely stunning theater. Watched The Lion King musical and it was one of the best days of my life. As a kid that grew up watching the lion king, it was impossible not to cry watching that beautiful play ❤️ thanks to all the actors and crew that made this possible.”

“An important part of London’s cultural life. Always interesting productions with great casts and creative teams. Would book to see anything there as I know it will be better than anywhere else. Seats uncomfortable but a nice bar with good food. Love it”

“Very inspiring atmosphere, impressive connection speed, and plenty of seating. The entrance is free (bag search). Gets a bit busy about 30 min before the performance (currently Inter Alia with Rosamund Pike). The building is a notable example of post-WWII Brutality architecture. While its radical minimalism and anti-aesthetics is not for everyone, it was fitting well the post-WWII resources deprivation and priorities re-evaluation (i.e. the shift from pompous public projects to NHS and other projects that prioritize human lives). Creative night lighting, both inside and outside, adds an extra visual appeal while preserving the core concepts of the style.”

“I went to see the Black Sabbath Ballet and was sat in the top tier, which offered excellent views of the stage. Really good sound and very comfortable seats. Ample bars and toilets, lots of space to hang around, good location and nice staff.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ MJ The Musical – Prince Edward Theatre Set in the stunning 1930s Prince Edward Theatre, MJ The Musical absolutely blew me away! The story, the music, the set, the costumes, and the performances were all incredible. From the young MJ to the teenager and then the adult, the three actors portraying Michael were phenomenal — their voices were flawless, and their acting was spot-on. The story felt respectful, honest, and deeply moving. Every single cast member brought incredible energy and talent to the stage. A truly outstanding show — highly recommended! (We sat in Row E seats 18 to 21)”

“Fabulous experience watching the matinée performance of Les Mis. We were sat in the Boublil loge, with moveable seats and a plush rail you could lean on. Some parts were missed but it was not a detriment to the truly outstanding performance. Pre-show we visited the Queen’s Bar and received excellent service from Alfie, thank you!”

“I went to watch Hercules with my sister and nephew aged 12. Firstly, the theatre itself is stunning, architecture and arrtwork, just beautiful. The staff were really lovely and helpful. The show is a must see production. Performances, singing, dancing all fab. Highly recommend Hercules and the Theatre Royal.”

“This is a charming theatre that consistently puts on excellent amateur productions. The cost of a seat is a fraction of a West End alternative and the seats are much more comfortable than the majority in the West End. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. I discovered this gem of a theatre over 8 years ago and have seen the majority of the shows that have been staged since then. All the shows I have seen have been good but some have been quite stunning and are a real credit to all those involved.”

“Had a wonderful first time seeing a show here with my family. Staff were friendly, jugs of water and glasses available at the bar, they had tampons in their toilets which I thought was amazing- I don't think I've ever gone to a place before that provides tampons! When we got to the upper floor seats I booked, there was a handwritten note welcoming us which I thought was really thoughtful of them especially considering how busy they must be with the holiday rush! The view was great and the seats were comfy- I found I had enough leg room (I'm 6'1ft) to enjoy a 2 hour and 40 minutes show in comfort. Because of seat availability, my brother was seated away from us in a lower floor seat. He said the view and comfort was outstanding and that he felt like he was part of the show because of how close he was to the stage! I do believe that you would have a good view whichever seat you're in, from what I could tell there was no seats with restricted views. Can't wait to return to this beautiful theatre in the new year!”

“The OSO is a vibrant local arts centre that provides a truly valuable service to the community. It has a wonderful café that’s perfect for meeting friends at the weekend, and it hosts a diverse range of theatre throughout the year. In the summer, you can enjoy open-air concerts on the green and an outdoor cinema, both of which are always well attended and full of energy. There are many fantastic workshops on offer, so it’s worth checking their website to see what’s coming up. The OSO also presents annual exhibitions, and during the Barnes Fair, they serve great food and create a lively hub of activity. It’s a real hotspot for emerging talent, with work from young writers, actors, and even shows developed for or returning from the Edinburgh Fringe. Some well-known performers have also appeared here, which speaks to its growing reputation. They also host the famous comedy club, which brings even more variety to the programme. The staff and volunteers are warm and welcoming, always happy to help or answer questions. In the summer, it’s a real treat to sit outside in the sunshine with delicious, healthy homemade food from the café. If you haven’t discovered the OSO yet, it’s an absolute must, a true gem at the heart of the community.”

“This is a community theatre that often has really good plays that others don't. The casts are excellent but sometimes the 'set' steals the spotlight, they are really good. If you want a night out and still get a cup of tea and a biscuit, or a pint of beer, plus entertainment it all at the Abbey Theatre.”
