Tried the margarita and my partner had the spicy pepperoni - both were fantastic. Sauce is exactly correct, it’s the recipe from someone’s italian grandmother and it slaps. But after trying to marinara pizza & my brother had the burrata appetizer I believe that this place is well deserving of a 5 star rating. The brothers that own and operate the restaurant are doing an amazing job here. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food is to die for. As well as the service is excellent. I wish I took a picture of the food before we ate it all but recommend this place to anyone within London.”

“This place is amazing the pizzas are 10/10 I highly recommend the - Zucca, nduja and burrata so good. My friend is vegan and had the marinara he said it was one of the best he has had, you can get vegan cheese pizzas as well. My flatmate had the pizza fritto which she said is incredible but is only available Wednesdays and Thursdays. The pitchers of drinks are fantastic too! Excellent service as well.”

Lovely thin and soft chewy base with just a touch of charring to the crust, a rich but not overpowering tomato sauce with melted stringy cheese with a mild flavour, creating a perfect base for the toppings which come through very well. “My husband and I had been to this restaurant a few years ago for our wedding anniversary which was unfortunately cut short as our youngest son had an incident at school (he's SEN) and we hadn't really thought about it again until today. I had booked a table at a Mexican restaurant in Bexleyheath for my birthday and made them aware it was my birthday. I had turned up at the booked time to be told they had a private function and unceremoniously turned away with zero apology or acknowledgement of the trauma they had caused me! I was absolutely devastated but I saw the sign for Il Vesuvio and some new hope burned in me. Whilst the restaurant was fully booked the staff so kindly found us a table we could have for just under two hours and they treated us like royalty! We enjoyed starters and mains from the main and specials menu (we would have had pudding but we were full!) nothing was too much trouble and everything was gorgeous! I enjoyed whitebait and octopus, whilst my family enjoyed vongole, carbonara and calamari. Everything was piping hot, fresh and delicious and they even gave us some complimentary limoncello! I can't believe I had all but forgotten this absolute gem! Thank you for taking my day from despair to joy and I heartily encourage everyone to come to this amazing venue! Thank you so much for making my birthday so special!”

We came here for a date night and left already planning our return. We started with the Avocado al Granchio Gratinato, which was super rich, flavourful, and unique. For mains, the Pappardelle dello Chef was silky and indulgent, while the Grilled Mixed Fish special was fresh, expertly prepared, and perfectly paired with a bottle of Falanghina. In terms of service, our waiter, Antonio, is an absolute legend. Funny, attentive, effortlessly charming, the man has it all..he brought an energy to the evening that elevated the entire experience. Like a shot of espresso in human form, he added just the right amount of flair without ever overstepping. He alone is worth the return trip. Between the warm, homey atmosphere, fantastic food, and exceptional service, Cassio ticks every box. It’s rare to find a place that nails every element of a night out, but this one does. We’ll definitely be back.”

“Absolute hidden gem of Camden! Some of the best Italian food outside of Italy I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The staff are very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to speak with. Last time I was there; I was on a date and we stayed until close, the staff ended up joining us for a few shots (which wasn't added to our bill) and a chat. The prices per person are very reasonable with high quality fresh pasta options and generous portions. Now one of my favourite restaurants and try to go at least 2x a month. Thanks guys!”

We went on a Saturday, the cooking was quite quick. Excellent appetizers, excellent pizza especially if you don't like Neapolitan pizza, excellent and abundant desserts. The pizza arrived quickly, with an authentic flavour. The restaurant itself is small, yet it creates an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.
