“Picked this venue for a coffee after reading the great reviews and was not disappointed. Don't be fooled by the modest entrance, the shop is a visual cornucopia of artistic delights. The drinks arrived in cute, hand painted cups and saucers, with small wooden spoons and the coffees adorned with coffee art. We sat and took in all the amazing decor which was for sale: cups, small serving dishes, bags, spoons, a menagerie of small crocheted animals with some in key ring form plus so much more. It was a feast for the eyes and brain to take in everything that was on display. The coffee was equally good and hope to try one of the cakes next time. An absolute joy for the senses and would highly recommend.”

Music was relaxing and the young man (Jake) who served me was ever so friendly. They have some outside seating too. The frappe was very nice and I'm very fussy about those. “Cafe run by charity Mencap - fantastic initiative to give people with learning disabilities the chance to learn skills in catering, customer services and hospitality. I have never eaten there but just had a quick coffee / kids snacks - it doesn't feel that warm and cosy to me, so I've never been tempted to linger too long. My suggestion would be to remove the PCs and introduce some sofas and perhaps some toys or games. Not sure how feasible that would be!”

“This board game cafe is always so pleasant to visit! It has a nice intimate feel with a very wide selection of games. My friends and I stayed for 3 hours and got drinks, each spending around £10. We didn’t try the food. They offer student and NHS discount. They gave two small toilets, but one of them doesn’t lock fully. Will come back!”

“Had an amazing experience at Jamz! The breakfast was fantastic, with great vegetarian options available. My cappuccino was delicious, and the meal was absolutely scrumptious. I also loved that the café is dog-friendly—this was my first time bringing a family dog to a café, and the staff made it such a welcoming and relaxing experience for both people and pets. The customer service was excellent, and I enjoyed it so much that I grabbed some bakery items to take home—they were just as good! I’ll definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend!”

“This cafe is run by the absolute sweetest staff, the coffee is good and there are always dairy alternatives available; the eggs royale are fantastic and the vibes are always nice inside. It only took a couple of visits for them to remember my drink order and make me feel like a regular already. There’s an upstairs that is quite nice and quiet and there are a few tables outside which is perfect for a sunny day. I would definitely recommend!”
