The staff were friendly and helpful, willing to offer advice with no pressure. Availability was far quicker than we had expected and delivery on the date agreed. “Great selection, and having ordered multiple times, I can say that the food is always very good in terms of quality, quantity and value for money. Friendly delivery people too. Only issue I have had (and not just once) is with the timed order function on the website. On one occasion, it arrived 90 minutes early and I had to send it back - we simply weren’t ready because we were in the middle of some DIY (which is why I ordered it for a set time). It’s happened since, albeit not with such an extreme difference between the time for which I requested delivery and the time food arrived. I’ve defaulted to just ordering later in the evening so that the delivery time is broadly the one I’d have chosen if the timed order function could be relied on. Like I say, that is the only gripe - just something of which to be aware if you’re someone that likes to place timed orders.”

“We turned up as a party of 4 with 2 young children without a booking at 5pm. The staff could not have been more accommodating despite being quite busy. We were advised the wait was 30 minutes to order but were offered a table and some christmas drawing activities to keep the children occupied. A nice touch. Food was exceptionally good, with both children polishing off all their plates. Steak and ale pie & highland venison duo are highly recommended for adults! Very warm and welcoming pub. Highly recommend & will certainly be calling in again in the future after a visit to Polesden Lacey.”

“This restaurant is amazing. The staff are ALL superb. Their skill is clear and their empathy and kindness is exceptional. We went here for my Mum's 93rd Birthday they could not have gone out of their way more to make the occasion special. The food is totally excellent and worth every penny. Jemima our waitress was brilliant. The hostess Annabel was the best we have ever seen. She was totally " on " everything that was happening in the whole restaurant. Josh the manager was empathetic and impressive. The venue is unbeatable. Choose this restaurant for the special things and the every day events and they will make everything special.”

“If I could I would give everything ten stars! Came here last night as we had a voucher to use and boy was we not disappointed! From sitting out on the decking, to the wonderful food, to the excellent staff it was just a joy from start to finish. The waitress staff was superb with their politeness, knowledge of the food and always smiling! So thank you very much to Anna and Megan - you have two wonderful members of staff there! Thank you also to Luke who was everything you should expect from a front of house manager. You three made our experience even better! Only one small complaint I would say the bottles of coke should be bigger. £5 is quite excessive for a 200ml bottle of coke and pretty high considering I know how much a case costs. We have already recommended to our friends and can’t wait to come back!”

“Go here for terrific full breakfasts, simple but finely made panini(s), comfort soups and quality bread. And as their name suggests, the coffee was an absolute belter. The pastries and cakes looked appealing too, though we didn't order any. The staff were friendly despite what was clearly the rush hour (non-stop crowd on a Sunday afternoon ~1pm).”
