“This is a rather special old inn. We had a wonderful, though very brief, overnight stay with breakfast in the morning, the day after a long road journey. Wound down with a nightcap in the company of James and Jules at the bar; they were great hosts. The room and, in particular, the bed were just superb. The bathroom: everything clean and just as you'd want it. Mary made us a very good breakfast and was also very friendly. It was clear all the staff we met actually care and want their guests to enjoy their stay and be comfortable. Highly recommended.”

“Absolutely gorgeous 1940s cafe manned by volunteers who also run the aircraft museum. Kind, curious and animal-loving people who serve up a mean toastie and bargain cuppas with free refills. We stopped by twice over the weekend and look forward to returning!”

“We've been here a couple of times now (we're not local). First time was so great, we returned - and again were not disappointed. The food is delicious and the staff are lovely - friendly, smiling and just seem to get the right balance. We would definitely recommend and will be returning. “Went here for coffee and breakfast. The coffee was delicious and made extremely fast. Service was also really quick and friendly. Had the plant based bap with an egg added which was also made rapidly and cooked to perfection- the chutney in it was really good! The decor was cool too. They do a nice scheme where you can pay forward a free hot drink to a customer and other customers can help themselves. A nice idea. Overall really well done to this place, they’ve got a good thing going and I’ll certainly be back for more”

“I went in today for afternoon tea (cakes and drinks). There were four generations in our party of 8 and we all loved what we asked for. The food is excellent, and the service is super (efficient, speedy and done with a smile on everyone's face). I'm not local to this place (I live up in South Manchester) but have family down this way and will look forward to our next visit here.”

“Hidden Gem! So pleased my colleague introduced me to this lovely little coffee shop today! It’s such a cute place with plenty of seating both inside and out. “Exactly what you want for a cute tearoom in the countryside! Hot and cold food, cakes and cream tea. We got the cream tea (£7.50-8/set) and the scones were perfect - came fluffy and warm. Service was friendly and unpretentious. Cosy and clean. Might have to come back and treat myself to a full English next time round...”
