Even when I could feel the scissors and comb and water spray on my neck, she put a towel round my neck and shoulders so I wouldn't get wet and made sure I was comfortable before carrying on and I really appreciate it. “Went for brunch on Sunday without a reservation. Had to wait for about 10-15 Mon for a table for 4 but all worth it. Had smashed avocado and American pancakes, my other half had pulled pork. All was great and looking forward to our next visit. Menu was looking great. Felt bright and modern. Service was polite, quick and efficient.”

“I have lived in the local area for a number of years and have seen this fish and chips shop operate under different management a few times. I popped in yesterday for fish and chips and sausages and was completely taken by surprise, the shop looks amazing, really really amazing. The family who run the business (Dad and three sons) were all working and were very welcoming. The menu has everything you would expect, and they still serve fried chicken (yum). The prices are as you would expect, no meal deals as yet - but they have only recently opened so maybe something for the future. The chips are delicious... really moreish. I heard once that you can judge a fish and chips restaurant by the chips and they were an accurate indication of the quality of the food. Fish portion was perfectly cooked and larger then expected, batter was light and fluffy, as with the battered sussage. Savaloy had the desired initial crunch while not being dry. I wish I had taken a photo of the place to go with the review. If you live locally have a walk past - looks amazing.”

The food was delicious and the portions big. All in all, great value - we had 3x mains, 2x sides and 3 drinks for £48. Also, it was really clean and well kept. Strongly recommend this place - we will come back!”
