“Visited for the first time this week for a birthday celebration. Booked a table through Google, easy and convenient. The mezes we had were really good, everyone enjoyed them. Almost all of them came with pitta bread. When it came to mains I had veggie spaghetti and was pretty blant, mostly consisting mashrooms and not very tasty ones, would not recommend. My other half had grill and he enjoyed it. My girls had plain spaghetti and soup of the day- tomato soup. Service was attentive and friendly. Didn't have dessert as cake was waiting at home. Atmosphere was very nice and welcoming.”

“They are BACK! The team at Simla Balti make easily the best curry I’ve ever come across in the South East and I’m so glad they have reopened after over 3 months closure. The food is delicious, always piping hot and consistently amazing. They will customise all your favourites just how you want them, little bit hotter or not, sauce from one with chicken from another dish etc. Great prices and really friendly staff. “Really lovely staff, cod is super fresh and crispy. So are the chips! The owner remembers my order which gives it a nice personal feel, anyone in the Orpington area needs to go to Twins! Added bonus they’re now open on Sundays!”

“What a lovely cosy place , perfect for families. Visited them with my family for a dinner. Staff was courteous and they don’t push meals on you. You can relax and enjoy your food in luxury of your time. We loved all what we order right from drinks , tapas , mains and sundaes . Fired chicken with Bombay spices was extraordinary and I loved the bang bang chicken with noodles the most. Will revisit soon. Thanks”

“We have been here a few times now and honestly, it just keeps getting better and better. The staff is lovely and very accommodating. The food is absolutely delicious and probably some of the best Chinese food in the area. I have made my mission to try a new dish every time we go back just so that I can go through the whole menu. “Had such a gorgeous lunch here yesterday for my sisters birthday. There were 14 of us including 5 feral children and the waiting staff were all so patient and lovely. Particular shout out to our main waiter Tom who was absolutely amazing, so helpful and smiley and never made us feel like a pain! Nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely, big portions and nice quality. The play area is of course great for the kids. Will definitely be back - thank you!”

“Our last walk of the year on the 30th Dec 2023, resulted in us having a small refreshment stop here. We were warmly welcomed, upon entering this gem of a traditional pub. The menu looked to be a great choice of the usual pub food. I'll note here that there's a large selection of pies. Which included their Festive December Pie. We weren't hungry on this occasion so chose their basket food, which was reasonably priced and arrived quickly. The rest room facilities were clean and tidy, and I'll note the men's was larger than most for this area. A queue for these would be a rare thing I'd say. In summary a cosy atmosphere, and warm unlike many pubs I've visited recently. I am looking forward to another walk in this area, so I can try out the pies of The George and Dragon.”

“Went for Christmas Day Lunch, with my wife and a friend. Food was hot, well cooked and well presented with decent quantities - no skimping! No issues whatsoever; apart from the fact that we may need to book months earlier next year! We are irregular customers, and have never had a reason to complain about anything over the years we have been using The Black Horse.”

“Me and my wife came here and I honestly have no bad words to say. Firstly the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and just pleasant to be around. They seemed to enjoy working there which is always good to see. The food was incredible and loved everything we ordered and the staff even helped pick and amended orders to please us. Again great service. The place itself is lovely with music in the background at the perfect volume as not too loud or quiet. There is a large selection of breakfasts available, they have a nice small terrace outside. You can park in front and pay. It’s a nice local cafe to visit and enjoy food and drinks. I recommend”

“The best burger joint to get mouth watering burgers! Was served by Rafi who works there and overwhelmed by the service. The interior deisgn is instagram pic worthy and the flooring design I have never seen with all sort of pink swirly patterns. Very chilled out and atmospheric enviroment. If you're searching for the most authentic, flavour-packed Indian meal, look no further! This was, without a doubt, the most flavoursome Indian food I’ve ever had. The Lamb Tikka Phall was fiery and rich, bursting with bold spices yet beautifully balanced. The Chicken Chat Puri Starter (extra hot!) delivered a delightful kick with succulent, well-seasoned chicken wrapped in soft, warm puri—perfection! The Keema Rice was another knockout, infused with deliciously spiced minced meat and the perfect amount of heat. Every dish was cooked to absolute perfection, the sauce was thick and indulgent, the meat was tender and full of flavour, and everything arrived hot and steaming, just as it should. Timing was spot on, proving that they care about both quality and service. Of course, the papadam added that satisfying crunch to round off an unforgettable meal. A truly exceptional dining experience—I’ll definitely be ordering again! Highly recommend.”
