“Florence House has many outstanding qualities that make it an incredible place to live. It has great transport links, close to amenities, open areas and awesome community spaces where you can relax and socialise whilst enjoying free tea or coffee from the coffee machine. However, what made it truly shine to me is the welcoming atmosphere and friendliness of Ives, Ash and the rest of the team. Ives and Ash were extremely helpful and reassuring when we had any questions regarding moving in, going the extra mile to really make you feel at home. ^-^”

“Hired the place out for my 40th party last weekend and had a blast. I paid extra for a late license which takes music up to about 12, but means you don’t have to exit until around 1 - highly recommend for a bit of flexibility. Price is really reasonable for hire, but also the drinks & food are too. The food was fab, I even brought home some for the next day and it was super tasty. Everyone who attended had a fab time and the staff there on the evening couldn’t do enough to make it a special night! I know family who are local will look to use the venue again.”

“Great location, amazing and super helpful staff. Always there in the morning and evenings for a friendly greeting. Whatever you needed they were on it. Rooms were clean, bed comfy and amazing shower. Kitchen was well laid out and had all you would need. Also had a small balcony which was nice for fresh air in the morning.”

“Staying Locally from Scotland and we came across the Pizza room. Food was gorgeous, sign outside says pizza made properly and rhey are not wrong. We even boxedup our leftovers as the portion was too much for one sitting. They had a great selection including a Dubai chocolate inspired dessert pizza. “Had a lovely experience at Heroica Lounge and Bar, Custom House. We ordered pizza and salad, and both were absolutely delicious fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. We sat on the upper deck of the bus, which was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had such a cozy, festive vibe. The music was spot on and really added to the atmosphere. Overall, a great place for good food, great music, and a unique setting. Would definitely visit again!”

We arrived on a Wednesday around 8 PM without a reservation, and the restaurant was completely full — yet the staff kindly managed to find us a table for two. They were incredibly accommodating despite how busy it was. You could really feel the energy from the kitchen — it was clearly in full swing, every dish coming out looked fantastic, and you could tell the cooks were working their hardest. The food itself was outstanding: high-quality ingredients, beautifully balanced flavours, and that unmistakable sense that it was made with care and pride. I’d definitely recommend booking ahead, as it’s a popular spot for good reason. Everything we had tasted fresh, authentic, and deeply satisfying — some of the best Korean food I’ve had in London. Also, a special mention to our friendly host — I think his name was Jerry or Larry (forgive me if I’ve got that wrong!) — who asked to be named in this review to win a bet. Consider this his victory! In short, Parks Kitchen is a gem in Ealing — warm service, excellent food, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.”

“Freshest breakfast in Borehamwood! Barracuda is known for lunch and dinner, but their breakfast deserves far more attention. I had the Mediterranean breakfast with sourdough and an iced coffee — perfectly poached eggs, browned halloumi, fresh avocado and spinach, seasoned olives, and grilled tomato. It’s by far the freshest, most balanced breakfast in the area. Most cafés nearby are just average greasy spoons, but this is on a completely different level. If people don’t support places like this, they won’t last — and Borehamwood will only be left with the bland, profit-driven cafés. This breakfast is being overlooked and deserves more people coming in.”

The beer is served in a frozen glass, which makes all the difference and tastes incredible. The owner is very welcoming and friendly, adding to the lovely atmosphere. “Lovely food here. Nice atmosphere with great food. The beef short rib was very soft and tender, the loaded chips with pulled beef was great and very unique to all others I have tried. The lamb shank roast was great too. The chefs know what they are doing. Its fully halal too, with no alcohol.”

“Oh my word. My husband and I came here with high expectations for our anniversary. Firstly, a sincere shoutout to the friendly and highly attentive waitstaff. We reserved in advance (which I recommend doing as it gets busy!) and they had actually read my booking notes. In the notes I mentioned I was pregnant and so they double checked I was happy with the preparation and ingredients of certain dishes. The menu leans towards the spicy and salty side, but at the same time is very fragrant and aromatic. Quite addictive really! I’ve seen viral videos of that Tom Yam deluxe noodle dish so obviously we had to get it. It was delicious, but to my surprise, my favourite dish was their Naem fried rice. It’s been about a week since our visit and I’m still licking my lips thinking about it. To top everything off, we got a surprise scoop of taro ice cream. How adorable is that? Lots of love to Speedboat. We’ll be back, and definitely before our next anniversary!”
